Fantastic site. Wish i had found it earlier. Its a wealth of information and the forum is a hive of activity. I lost 3 stone in 6mths and the best thing was the support from the other members. Unlike other slimming clubs where you meet up once a week, boots is on tap all day every day. If i was having a wobble, i just went onto the forum and i instantly received support and advice. FANTASTIC.....give it a try.....you will be amazed

Great site for recording your calorie intake (for me the only way to lose weight) and your exercise, gives you an outlay of what you need to lose and gives you 4 options of weight loss max 2lb per week which then calculates a date for achievement.The community forum is friendly with loads of tips and knowledge shared by everyone. You can find a diet buddy to help encourage you on.
After less than 1 days trial I've signed up, the current sign up price is cheap and after its over it tells you clearly that unless you give notice to quit they will charge you £4.99 every month after which is still a cheap price to pay for the service.
The format allows you to keep records of your measurements too plus leave notes for reference, shows your progress with a bar chart. Every 7 lb's gives you an award. Its managing my weight loss in manageable months, thus when I reach my target weight I'll move on to the next stage which will then have to be revised.

I loved the intuitive interface and the large selection of foods. HOWEVER, I found they grossly overestimated the amount of calories I use in a day. My BMR is 1650 but they estimated it about 300 calories more than that, so they allocated me 1425 a day to lose 1.5 pounds a week.
No way! At a caloric deficit of 225 a day I would lose less than 0.5 pounds a week, so it would take me about 2 years to lose my excess three stone :-(
They don't offer the facility to enter your own calorie allowance, so I didn't join after the trial period was up.

I Have Been On Many Different Diets, But I Have Re
I have been on many different diets, but I have realised that only healthy eating and combining exercise will get me to where I want. In the past, I had lost 4 stone through this method, but 2 of that has finally crept back on after 10 years and I was gutted. I am now in the right frame of mind to achieve my goal and I am pleased I am doing it the right way. Along with the diet, I am doing varied exercise 3-4 times a week which will help tone me up as well as lose weight. I decided to try BOOTS DIET online as I tried the trial and it was simple to use plus it also keeps an easy track of your exercise. water intake and also how much veg/fruit you eat which is useful.
I do find the only way I can lose weight, is if I track what I eat, cause sometimes, you have no idea ACTUALLY how much you are putting away!!
I used to do slim fast and it's just simply following the same calories structure from back then...250cal for breakfast and lunch, 3 100cal snacks throughout the day and 600cal for dinner which is very achievable and I am not getting hungry or missing out. You can have a little naughtiness every now and again without being punished, but perhaps do a bit more exercies to counteract this.
It makes me feel good that I am not having to pay out loads of money to control my weight like some of my old classes. Def recommend!!

I have joined Boots diet and its fantastic. In the past i have followed Weight Watchers but is always left me feeling really really hungry. I am very active and i could easily bank 50+ activity points a week and couldn't do anything with most of them. And the new online tracker is awful. So i decided to look around for a diet program which was simple to use and allowed for my activity level and entitled me to eat a bit more so i wasn't always hungry. Somebody recommended Boots diet so i thought i would give it a try. Its great!!!. The best thing of all is the amount i can eat. I can't believe it. According to Boots diet to loose 1lb a week i need to eat 1400 kcals a day. Out of interest i logged what i would of eaten if i was still on the WW diet (17 points a day) and on most days i was only consuming 700-800 kcals - no wonder i was hungry all the time. I feel so much better knowing that i can eat the amount i am eating and still loose weight i don't feel starving anymore, i have more energy and generally more positive and happy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This Site Is So Good - The Format Encourages You
This site is so good - The format encourages you to complete it daily. You can have a diet buddy, or, when you feel that you have failed that day you get lots of encouragement from other members. There is a diet chart so that you can see your achievements, food ideas and no need to get out the calorie book as it is all done automatically. This is the only thing that has worked for me but you must really want to lose weight. The main thing is that I am actually losing weight and eating more. When you have eaten your "5 a day" it actually shows one by one, which is automatically calculated by taking into account a slice of onion, a few lettuce leaves etc. It shows that you should have 8 glasses of water a day and each time you have one you click the glass and it fills up. This shows the amount left so it is very encouraging. You get ideas from members and a lot of encouragement. You can show your details and join the discussions/friends or you can just use the diet club private. Ideal for shy dieters! You can have your photo on or not. It seems much cheaper than any other diet online. See the difference between Boots diet and Weight watchers, at least £30 per quarter and occasionally Boots have an incentive offer at around £14 for 3 months. Also you get a 24 hour free trial. Why not try it. If you log on around 9pm and fill in that day then you can complete it at 8pm the next so that you can see what the diet club is really about.

You fill out the online food diary everyday, there is not point in cheating as the only one you are cheating is yourself. It calculates your food energy against your exercise output and you obviously need your output to exceed your input and the diary is an ideal way to do this. Also and if you need it, there are tips on offers and the online community support from other members.
I lost 30lbs over 7 months and would recommend it to anyone. My weight has been stable for 4 months now and I am joining again in January to lose my last 14lb.
