I agree with all other comments - fiund this site while trying to replace yje junk double oven and hob. Oven continually breaking down.

Avoid SMEG products at all costs.

Bought a smeg built-in oven based on looks - what a fool I was!

The thing kept breaking down, timer went twice and the oven heating element went 4 times.

What a pile of rubbish - has been taken out and a good oven installed now.

If you like things to be of inferior quality and to break down quite often - then buy smeg. If not - keep well away!

Also bought this SMEG oven thinking I was getting quality. Main oven element went after 8 months, grill elelment after 18 months, main oven element again after 24 months, grill thermostat after 36 months, door seals also fell off and needed replaced. To their credit SMEG carried out all repairs FOC and have finally agreed to replace the oven FOC.

Purchased the Smeg DO81CSS-5 abt 20 months ago. Fan element went after 12mths. Cooling fan after 18mths. Controls for both upper and lower ovens have now packed up. Can't afford to spend any more time repairing it! Have just bought a replacement from Siemens based on reliable reputation.

Also have top range 2yr old Smeg hob. It looks great but reliability and quality are likewise very poor. Knobs are continually breaking and falling off, iron pot stand rubber feet have all perished and stainless steel base is spot welded where it should be fully seam welded so impossible to clean. Am similarly resigned to also replace this appliance.

If you are committed to buying a Smeg cooker I'd advise getting an extended guarantee - your may need it.
