You can pay just £6.99 per month with Vanquis credit card for the Credit Expert identity protect product, which includes credit report service, rather than paying £14.99 per month with credit expert.

Used the 30day free trial period. It was easy to use and took about 4days to have full access to a credit report. It was easy to cancel with a freephone number and when i called up, I was given advice on what I could do to get better credit report and what was wrong with my report. Very good service. As always I am cynical with these 'free trails' and await to see if the money gets taken out of my account. But so far so good!

In respect of Credit Expert, I have found the service to be of a very high standard. The call centre is based in the UK, I can access my credit report any time of the day - in fact I use it when I go off to buy my new TV on interest free as I want to know I can get the credit before looking stupid in the shop if i get turned down. Also last year I got my credit card nicked but when I got an alert I realised someone had taken out a card in my name I was able to stop it too. So I reckon Credit Expert is very good. They are a big company, they have to make money but you have to read the small print.

After reading bad reviews I was hesitant to try CreditExpert but had found no reviews that offered praise to any Credit websites so I tried CreditExpert anyway; and was pleasantly surprised!
I checked my credit report, and then phoned to cancel, expecting the sales pitch trying to convince me to stay.
Instead I got a friendly, helpful lady who offered me advise on my debt and then cancelled my account and sent me a confirmation email.
Very impressed!

I'm pretty savvy when it comes to cancelling free trials and reading the small-print.. so have been pleasantly surprised with the Credit Expert website.
It's a shame I had to pay for a full credit score, but this was quite helpful and it was only a £6 one-off charge and will be getting my boyfriend to do the same (as we'll be looking to apply for a mortgage soon.)
I phoned up to cancel my free trial today - got through straight away and my account was cancelled immediately. No problems!

Why pay even £6.99? Simpletons like you, make this company millions! Firstly,I use to work for the company, you could have a credit score of 1000 and still be declined credit, for example, you could have the maximum score and have never had credit! Creditors such as barclays, halifax etc,do not see any score! Creditors, search your file for late payments etc! You could have 600 credit searches one company may decline, the may not! Let me tell you about the identity product,it's worth nothing,I dealt with several people and basically, your own bank/finance company writes of the fraudulent transactions, all the credit reference people do is place notes on your report,so it warns creditors to be extra careful! Another example, you have a credit card and clear it of every month and you pay no interest, you can be declined for further credit as you ain't making them any money.I worked for Experian for five years and they had never paid any money out as a result of identity fraud! The best thing you and others who are sucked it by this,is to pay the £2 statutory fee every three month
