This was my second guitar and I will definitely NEVER sell it. It sounds and looks amazing, it is much better than any other mexican made strat i've ever played.
The neck is my favorite part, it is fast but still feels significant in your hand.
Tex-Mex pups are actually really good sounding, which suprised me. They're probably a mix between Texas Specials and the '54's, very vintage-sounding and twangy, sound amazing through a tubescream and clean.
It has a vintage bridge which is cool, the only thing is that it tends to go out of tune with tremelo use, but if you use the tremelo a lot this isn't really the instrument for you.
The finish is great, nothing else like it. It's pretty heavy though.
Positions 2 and 4 have unique sounds for a strat, I use them a lot, they also cancel-out the 50's-cycle hum.
Overall it's a great guitar that will last you for life, i've never had any problems with it besides the neck needing a little tweak of the truss rod every year.

The Fender Standard 60th Anniversary Stratocaster is an amazing axe. Dont underestimate it because it says made in mexico. Its a real piece of history.

I tried this Fender Standard 60th Anniversary Stratocaster guitar out and to be honest- I didn't expect too much. It's a mexican strat right? Well, let me put it like this- this thing absolutely sings! It's a tad heavy but the sustain is just amazing. The neck is one of the most beautiful 'alive' maple necks I've seen and plays real smooth. If you can get hold of one used, buy it! I play it through my Marshall JCM 800 2203 100w head and it's the perfect match. Both clean and distorted. Mainly play blues/rock.

Simply great value, great sound, awesome looks! No bad points after a proper set-up by the tech at the store. Buy it if you can.
