“Great arrows for begginer / intermediate archery level”

★★★★☆

written by Mirorab on 26/05/2014

I start to use Jazz arrows on my coach suggestion. Buy 1816 for my 30# recurve and put 2 1/2" straight vanes. Flies like arrow! On indoor (18m) distance i've reached my best result (542 from 600 points) and my coleague reached 572 from 600 points. Very durable arrows - only nocks goin' break becouse small groups... :-D Afterward, I go outside and change 2 1/2" straight vanes into 1 3/4 spin wings - less weight and less air resistance... Still use it on 30-40 m with 30# bow. Groups are good (2"-3" on 30m, 6 arrows) but can be better - it's my level now. In two words: GREAT ARROWS!

Whilst I don't profess to be a fan of spin wings, (they rely on resistance for their spin!) the Easton Jazz is as you say, a good beginner/intermediate arrow shaft, with a good performance/price consideration. The other thing you can do as you progress and perhaps want some faster/ outdoor/ longer distance arrow shafts is to re fletch the Jazz's, perhaps with large feathers for quick stability, and still shoot them on short indoor ranges???

I chose Jazz arrows slightly dearer but very good, when I stop missing the target I shall go for the carbon but while I am still learning will stick with the Jazz aluminium arrows
