Since the very early days of the web when CIX and AOL was about all there was. I've swapped ISPs between AOL, BT, Sky and TalkTalk and am now with Direct Save for the first time. The reviews for Direct Save on many sites are really not representative of the service I have experienced in the first 6 months of being a customer. Perhaps connection reliability isn't perfect, but it's no worse than Talk Talk, and a lot better than my Sky experience. I'm on fibre for the first time so the comparison may not be quite fair. Yes, connections speeds fluctuate for the first week, and can at times be slower than copper, but they openly say that from the outset, and within a few days speed increases to approach the quoted maximum. Today (Fri 30/09/16 12:00) I am getting 36.2 Mbs on a 38Mbs contract. Twice now I have needed to call them with an issue. They answer the phone within a minute of dialling and have always phoned me back when they said they would. They have swiftly and efficiently solved the problem on both occasions. They are very polite, keep accurate records. They listen carefully and act honestly and reliably without fob-offs, misdirection or bull, explaining the reasoning behind their actions and instructions and admit fault if the problem is down to themselves. The operators don't use a script and openly pass the issue on to a more experienced engineer if and as soon as the issue exceeds their level of knowledge. As far as costs are concerned, they may not be the cheapest, and they are certainly not expensive. They are within the same ballpark as everyone else. I value my internet connectivity more than to be content with the level of service I can expect from a cheap or even a 'free' ISP. I am a very happy customer. I have no personal or commercial interest in the company, it's agents or anyone who works there.

So after a 6 year struggle with with a popular budget internet provider. I decided to move on in November 2015. Hello 'Direct Save Telecom' based in England with real English people employed. One 15 minute phone call is all it took. Absolutely brilliant service. £129 a year line rental, internet speed 4 times faster. Fibre connection. Just billed £13 for the month. Well pleased would be an understatement.

We have been with DST for 6 years now and now problems whatsoever. Free landline calls anytime. No problems with the broadband. Easy to understand billing. Couldn't want for a better provider.

This comment is quite obviously written by someone from DST. Come on Guys, the word 'Fantastic' should be used in the literal sense, brearing no relation to the world that DST customers live in, especially of late. I'm of the opinion that DST will not be a viable entity much longer.

Totally agree Jese this was written by someone at DST as any reviews you read (not only on review centre) are 1 star and full of complaints, terrible company to deal with really surprised they are still trading

Direct Save Telecom ( DST ) can no more improve your broadband speed than BT themselves can - it all depends on your location & number of others using broadband on your section at any given time, so the guy who's going back to BT (at much higher rental for both broadband AND the line, will find himself on an 18 month contract that he cannot get out of! D'oh!
I've been with DST for 3 years and find them always to be of utmost help. Nothing is too much trouble, your call gets answered quickly by a native English speaking person who has been properly trained - they don't pass you onto someone else after 20 minutes of moronic questioning! I've recommended DST to 15 friends and work colleagues who are all happy with their service and especially their prices. DST gave me £300 back for referring these people too! GREAT!
Their deals are really great value and you're only on a rolling monthly contract - I asked them why they didn't tie customers into a 12 or 18 month contract like nearly all the other ISP's and they said it was because they just didn't have to - why would anyone leave them??!!

I have nothing but praise for this company. I've been a customer a year now and the reason I joined them in the first place is their phone line installation was the half the price of BT. My package was just phone line rental & installation plus I did have to stay with them for a year but I'm glad I did.
They have had negative reviews in the past but throughout this first year they have out-shone my broadband provider who is supposed to be a market leader. Their customer service agents have been helpful, courteous and professional at all times and their prices have not increased throughout this year. I have since come to the end of my broadband contract with a different company and am now moving it to Direct Save as they know what their doing and treat you as a customer should be treated.

we have been a client for over three years, there has been no price increases whatsover and have never had a problem, then they started to charge for paper billing but a mistake of mine my e-mail to accept online billing did not go through, all sorted by telephone in seconds, but to keep our costs down even further we also use 08081703703 as recomended by martin lewis website for routing our day time calls, total broadband and telephone calls no more than £25 per month,i would recomend dst to any one,i just spent time looking at the martin lewis website.

This is a very good company, value for your money, there is no contract thats the best part, just a 28 days roll over agreement, no cancellation charge, line is much cheaper that BT, I recommend this company for the service to most people cause its a good company www.directsavetelecom.co.uk
