Worst Card You Can Possibly Have. I Had This Card

Worst card you can possibly have. I had this card for 10 years and they aribtrarily reduced my limit because I have never carried any balance and was late by 10 days once, so much for loyalty rewards.

When they needed bailout they ran to us but they can reduce our limit for a 10 day late payment.

Boycott Citi.

1 month behind in payment. Paid over $3000 to get current. Now that I am current, I know have a 100 credit line down from a 10,000 credit line. I cannot work within a 100 credit line, so I closed the account. I will no longer use Citi bank for any future financing.

I Have Been Greatly Disappointed That A Member Of

I have been greatly disappointed that a member of staff has rung on several occasions on my mobile number without once leaving a message of any kind and has rung several times on my home phone number and has not left a message and when answered by my wife would not wait to be passed over to me. I feel that although the card is fine the customer service is appalling.

Citi Shell Mastercard - This Very Poor Excuse For

Citi Shell Mastercard - This very poor excuse for a credit card company not only changes loyalty scheme T&C's without notice, but also finds it impossible to close an account that has a ZERO balance and they even acknowledge a ZERO balance and then have the gall to charge a £1 interest - on what - the ZERO balance. To date 3 very expensive telephone calls to their ZERO rated joke of a customer service desk in India and to be told all was clear and the account had been closed. Also have received a letter dated the 6 April 2010 apologising for causing inconvenience and confirming the ZERO balance, then the following day, statement dated 7 April 2010, they sent a statement for this 'closed' account with a charge of £1. This saga has been carrying on since January, the next step is to complain to the FOS. This company is only worth a ZERO rating, pity we cannot score in negative figures.

Absolute Rip Off And They Keep Changing Their Term

Absolute RIP OFF and they keep changing their terms and conditions to avoid any benefits to customers. first it was extended warranty gone, now it's cash back terms changed, so you can only get it back if you spend on shell fuel within TWO weeks!!!!

or you lose your cash back!! i had over £130 cash back, as i clear it each month...but lost all of that as how the heck do i spend that on fuel in 2 weeks?????

As Recorded By Other Users Of This Card On This We

As recorded by other users of this card on this web site, my experiences are similar with Citi cards.

They Stop your card without notice or explanation.

Their reply with a pathetic reason that is not possible.

They do not listen to the problem.

Generally a quick way to get rid of your customers- stop their card and dont issue another.

City Has Now Dropped Shell From The Rewards Scheme

City has now dropped Shell from the rewards scheme. This was announced only in December and only one month to collect cash rewards. I was away for 2 1/2 months therefore lost all my benefits on my return because too late to claim.

A good thing while it lasted but now unless a 0% card available, stay clear. xx

I Have Used The Citibank Credit Card For Many Year

I have used the Citibank credit card for many years without any problems until recently when their rewards program was cancelled and all of a sudden my cheque payments are being received far more slowly than normal (10 days+) resulting in interest charged on the account.

The customer services operator in India was unable to verify my card account until I asked to speak to her supervisor, then she magically discovered my details, though repeated the motions again like a dumb drone.

However, first off she refused to connect me to her supervisor saying her supervisor was 'busy on the phone' but would call me back later, yet when I asked for her supervisors name she said she didn't know which supervisor would be calling me back (there was me thinking only one supervisor?), then informed me she could not provide me the name of the supervisors name. Needless to say no one from Citibank has called me back!

As far as recommending Citibank to friends or family I would say no, there are far better credit card deals out there to be had, plus I am sick and tired of greedy bankers.

I think this just about sums up the short-term greed attitude of bankers who would rather take a one-off monthly £25 interest hit from the customer, rather than considering how much interest they earn over a year from the monthly charge from the retailers which said customer purchases from. In my case Citibank earn approx £40 per month. Yet next month and the month after that they will earn ZERO commission because I will be switching to a rival card just because a call centre drone refused to repay the interest charge.

Well done Citibank, so go stick your charges where the sun don't shine & enjoy the interest whilst it lasts.

Was Originally A Good Deal But Deteriorated Drasti

Was originally a good deal but deteriorated drastically... and now withdrawn unilaterally. Citibank account management and customer service is about as incompetent as its possible to get. On the other hand, if you can get the better of their tortuous customer complaint system, your considerable perseverence is fairly compensated.

I am fed up with them and I shall not use my replacement platinum card (promised for January) should it ever arrive.
