As a working musician I have had three of Laney VC30, without a doubt it is a great amp and when my previous Laney's got broken due to poor quality handles I had them replaced which is why I have had three.
What a shame this great amp is subjected to the questionable quality of the carrying handles. Shame on Headstock the main distributor in the UK whom I advised by telephone and showed a distinct lack of interest, in putting it right. Come on guys whats a good qulaity handle going to cost !
The handle on my current Laney VC30 lasted 5 months after purchase before it broke, fortunately It broke as I was putting the amp down so no damage, unlike my previous Laney whose handle broke at the top of some stairs and then and bounced of most of them on the way down. How fortunate was it that no one was using the stairs at the time serious injury could have been caused if this heavey amp had struck someone on the way down.
Much as I like this Amp I could not recommend it, unless a good quality handle is fitted to the amp
