“Trainers falling apart”

Bought trainers from local jjb sports, after a week the insole came apart, took back to local store and was told to send trainers to head office for inspection, and they would decide if a problem really had occurred. This would have to be done by registered post at my expense not theirs as they don't have a free delivery option. if I bought these trainers from a store surely they are legally obliged to deal with the problem locally. The cost would almost GE same as buying an on other pair of trainers. If I had known this policy, I would not have bought from this company. Would not buy from them ever again. Nor would I recommend them to anybody unless you wish to use and throwaway.

Ordered boots online for husbands Xmas 18/12/12 paid next day delivery £5.99.Concerned when not received by 20/12/12 and went to local Yodel depot as track ref. said 'possible problem at local depot' but they could not locate parcel,depot disorganised,very young staff.9 emails sent to supplier (as no tel no. on website)which just kept refering me back to the tracking no. with above message each time.Finally received boots late afternoon 29/12/12.Shame about the delivery as boots were good value.Should change courier.Wonder if they will refund my delivery charge!

“Not very helpful staff”

I recently visited my local JJB sports to get a swimming costume, there was a lot of choice and the sizing guide was confusing. No one was around on the shop floor to help with my queries so I thought I would just try them on. Again no one was about and all the fitting rooms are kept locked. I know all of retail is having a hard time and have made cut backs on staff but this was ridiculous. Anyway, found someone after walking round the whole shop, to let me try stuff on and when I popped my head round the door to ask if they could grab me another size they had gone! Just a pain really as I had to get changed into my clothes to them grab the other size myself.

“Stupid service”

Ordered an England shirt for my dad for Father's Day on 5th June. A full week later no money had been taken from my account and I had not been informed of it's dispatch. So I tried ringing customer services. As soon as you get through to the option needed it hangs up. So I emailed the company requesting to cancel my order since nothing had been processed yet. However instead of cancelling my order JJB processed it and I was ultimately charged and the item dispatched, too late for me though. Now I need to find out how to return the item! Wouldn't use again, will always search for Sports Direct instead!

“STILL WAITING!!”

I pre ordered two liverpool home 2012/13 shirts. They were released on June 1st and i still have not received them. Partners Birthday has now passed. I have e-mailed on a number of occasions to which i have had no reply. I have a phone bill with ten pounds worth of calls to them but have yet not actually been able to get through to anyone, phone cuts off or im on hold forever! So a month later i have no order and im 100 pounds down! Not sure where to go from here!!

“What a letdown”

Ordered a football shirt online on 3rd June. In stock special offer at £25 including delivery. 3 working days it said. After 11 days, I rang the customer helpline, and after 2 menu choices, the call hung up, several times. rang the order line and spoke to an operator in seconds. She gave me another number which went to answerphone. Did get a call back to confirm order not fulfilled, out of stock, when will I get shirt? Don't know. So, as shirt was a Fathers Day gift, order cancelled. Went online to JJB site tonight and Shirt availale at bargain price of.... £38:99 Thank you JJB online, but no thanks. What a letdown, what a shambles, what poor customer service.

“Unfortunately Sports Direct beats them hands down”

I like JJB Sports. I like Dave Whealon, the owner and chairman of Wigan FC. I like their public image and I used to like their stores. However, the company has gone downhill and now is not in the same league as Sports Direct- particuarly on line. The website is quite nice to look at but a bit of a pig to navigate. Plus they're often out of stock on items you want. Sports Direct is cheaper, delivers more efficiently and has a great range of products. That's a shame because I dislike Mike Ashley!

“Articles paid but never delivered and no answer from them”

Articles paid with Maestro but never delivered and no answer from them! I bought several tennis clothes (1x polo, 2x tshirts) with Maestro but it has never been delivered, status says "in process - shipped" but never get a tracking number and send them 3 reminders with no answer yet! Anyone who can suggest me how to get a refund and where to report the fraud?

“Still waiting”

I bought one of the sports bras in store and decided I would like to try another size. Went home and ordered online as they had hardly any stock in store. I paid for express delivery to a store of my choice, an extra £3.99 for 1-2 days service. It will be a week tomorrow and still waiting!! Called on Thursday and the customer service lady said it was on the van and going to store today. It's now Sunday and the order still says 'awaiting delivery'. I shall be calling again tomorrow and cancelling the order. I paid the extra because I desperately need the item?!?! I am not surprised and should have known better. Rubbish, use this website at your peril.

“No deliver no help”

Almost £66 takin from my bank account 4 weeks ago and yet to recieve any goods no telepone helpline email only do not buy from these you have been warned!! as soon as i recieve my order i will be returning it if i ever recieve it! dreadful! only hoping i can get my money back if i never recieve it! No tracking number was issued with the dispatch email

Fraudulent JJB delivery charges added.

Bought a replica shirt - Selected "collect in store" with free delivery - payment page showed "free delivery" - however when I went to collect my order from the JJB store the invoice showed my credit card charged an extra £3.99 for delivery!

The JJB store saleperson told me that this happened quite often with these orders and that I should contact customer services for refund.

Contacted JJB customer services who fobbed me off. Lesson being never deal with a dishonest company as JJB.

Ordered a football mini kit for my son online for Christmas. Received order confirmation along with a note saying that I would hear from them shortly to say when I could collect the item in store. A week later with only a few days to go before Christmas I called to find out when I could expect my item only to be told that my order had been cancelled! When asked why I had not been notified - so that I could correct any possible processing errors - I was told 'Do you expect us to go through all our orders and phone all our customers when there's a problem!' Unbelievabley horrendous customer service, pathetic online system, a little boy that won't be getting his Manchester United Kit for Christmas and a customer who will never use the store again.

bought two bikes from jjb sports in november .these bikes had loads of faults when purchased wheels loose gears not working right took bikes back to shop after 1 week bikes come home still not proper sorted. kids didn't get any real use out of them.i did not think these were good value for money and would advise for anyone not to buy a bike from jjb sports.i would like to know about the rubbish before buying them and maybe i would not have bothered.the old saying you only pay for what you get is true

It was actually delivered two days later by UPS whose communication was excellent.

I would not hesitate to recommend JJB on this purchase, the only thing I would suggest to them is that they give a bit more information on their web site regarding possible delivery times.

I always buy my sports stuff form jjb sports, i really like the layout and the staff at my local store. I was trying to find something for my sons birthday in the store but they didnt have the size i needed so i went home and ordered it on the internet. Their web site is just as good as the store. Clear pictures and pricing. I found exactly what i wanted at www.jjbsports.com as i would definitely use them again. Some prices are even better than in the store.
