Love It!
I probably get to the The Jolly Tar about once a month and I love it. The staff are always so cheery and welcoming. The beers are fantastic and food (best served in their beautiful Cotswold stone conservatory) great!
If you're in any doubt the sign is pretty distinctive - with a sailor and a parrot!

Under New Management! Or Should We Say Old Managem
Under New Management! or should we say old management, Leigh and Steve Snook have returned to the Jolly Tar and what a pleasure the Sunday lunch was. When an establishment says "Seasonal Vegtables" we don't expect peas in Feburary and we didn't get them! When they say fresh, that is what we expect and, again, that is what we got. We understand this young family have only been back in residence for the last five weeks and what a breath of fresh air. Took mother with us this weekend and they even catered for her "crucified meat" tastes (we did ring and explain in advance). The other point that suited us down to the ground was the fact that we were able to take our dogs into the public bar prior to eating. After returning the dogs to the car, we ate in the lounge bar, close to a blazing log fire, what more could we ask for on a cold February afternoon. Wonderful day.

Returned To The Jolly Tar After A 2 Year Absence D
Returned to the Jolly Tar after a 2 year absence due to a change in Landlord who seemed to think offer fish fingers was haute cuisine.
