“Damage by carpet fitters”

Carpet fitters arranged by SCS damaged room. SCS state they are not responsible for damage and therefore will not compensate for the damage. Fitters are abusive and make unsubstantiated claims about the decoration they have damaged. The customer service from SCS is terrible. Don't buy from this company!… Read Full Review

“Just a warning”

Just a warning. Purchased two sofas back in 2017 for about £1,600. I know some time ago and for some not much money. Also paid £420 for the 5 year peace of mind all included insurance policy. The sofas have cracked, holes appeared, rips - really quite bad - and recline motion faulty. I attempted to claim for one huge hole, insurance will not cover it and one explanation for the degradation is hair oils - not damaged other sofas - and sunlight. We live in Wales! I have just spent 9 days working for them in their delivery call centre. I have never worked for such an unprofessional company. I asked the managers to keep the swearing and noise volume to a minimum when I am on the phone. and I was told that's how we work The day after I left they brought a new thing in that mate that ever changed of delivery has to be authorised by a manager which is most calls which create delays and more anger. so many of the deliveries were very late. Absolutely disgusting customer service from scs lay z boy is awful quality framework breaking away recliners squeak and lean to one side the framework is astonishing I paid over £3000 for a sofa and extra insurance that isnt worth the paper it written and covers for nothing !! Ordered a sofa, arm chair, accent chair and footstool in April 2021. I was told delivery would be 24th June or 4 weeks before or 4 weeks after. Phoned the beginning of July for an update as to date of delivery and was told delivery moved to 12 July. Why was I not informed. Literally followed around the store by 4 members of staff, trying to sell us a sofa, which we was wanting to do, without being pushed into it. 4 members of staff, all discussing their targets, and that they had to hit them, and they didn't care if they had £300, or £3000 that day, as they hadn't made a sale....after spending 30 mins there, left, as was so uncomfortable being hounded. The worst company ever to deal with! I ordered carpets for my new house on 2nd of June and I was told they would be ready in 3-4 weeks so I was given keys for my new house as per that. Brand new house - yet fitters managed to damage most brand new skirting boards (every single one in one room). They haven't been repaired (over one month now) with no sign of them getting repaired. Ordered conservatory furniture in February and were promised a May delivery date. SCS cancelled delivery on the very same day and continued to make excuses and put us off FIVE more times. Bought a new settee £4500, Soon after the recliner broken, Engineer came told me needs a new part to be ordered 5 to 7 weeks delivery time. Three months later nothing, no phone call no email nothing. I call them was tols part was lost so would need to re order so another 5 to 7 weeks delivery with no guarentee it would arrive. No apology no nothing from scs. Worst company every to buy from. I purchased a corner couch in February and it was delivered in March. The 2 delivery delivers left the couch did not unpack it nor did they fit the feet to the couch, this left me to do not myself and dispose of the packaging. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Save yourself headache, stress, and money by shopping elsewhere. Given the amount and nature of their complaints you would be forgiven for thinking it was SCS – Shoddy Carpets and Sofas. I purchased the Sisi Italia Raphael Leather collection of sofas, unfortunately before reading up on reviews. Ordering and delivery were mostly fine but what followed was not. I am so drained with this I think its shocking that a piece of furniture delivered in February has had the engineer out to it twice with loose sticking and twisted reclyner on one side and second visit second side twisted too.
