Extremely expensive but the most amazing food. Well worth a visit but I recommend saving up so you can treat yourself to the full dining experience.

The first thing to say is that the food is fantastic. There is always a very inspiring menu and everything is of a good standard and consistent. As well as the mains all courses and side orders are well presented and of a high quality. The only criticism would be that the vegetarian menu has often been the same and there is only one option. The value for money for the vegetarian option is not as good as the main courses also
We eat usually in the main pub section rather than the restaurant where the service isn't restaurant level - hence the slightly lower service rating. The bar staff are though attentive to diners and make a good substitute to a passing waiter.

Overall would recommend Caunton Beck for its food alone and that a good enough reason to eat there obviously but if you are looking for somewhere with a bit more atmophere this place does not really cut it and it should because it has everything that a good place needs! I guess that just goes to prove if you put the wrong staff in a place no matter how good the food you just do not really feel like eating there at all! A weird place this one!
