OK, we had heavy rain but you could see the seams were not sewn correctly in a lot of places. The inner sleeping areas do not have waterproof floors to them which would not have mattered if the tent had not leaked so badly. I was told by an assistant in a camping shop that there were a very large number of these tents returned last year for this reason.
Hopefully, Outwell have now fixed the problem, as it was a nice tent apart from the leaks and I really don't mean to put any one off buying the tent if it is fixed because the deign is otherwise good (OK, I have been put off the Vermont, but I had the bad experience, and I still do like Outwell tents).
Ours has been returned and we are getting an Outwell Norfolk Lake instead - very similar deign but polycotton and, hopefully , waterproof.

as long as your tent does not leak through the seams then you will ok. it has lots of room for a family and plenty of storage.
