I Dont Understand Why There Are Bad Reviews Of The

I dont understand why there are bad reviews of the Samsung LE40R88BD TV on here, perhaps its just bad luck for a few purchasers. Picture quality is outstanding even with built in Freeview or a separate box. And thats not even HD which is even better. Sound is also good but obviously not better than 5.1 surround.

Samsung Le40r88bd Review - After 3 Days Changing P

Samsung LE40R88BD review - After 3 days changing picture and sound settings I lost patience and returned the set to Currys for a full refund which they did without fuss; the store was great to deal with. Prior to returning the TV I called Samsung technical support, the guy admitted that sound sound quality on this model was not great but said the picture should be better than my description.

I am now looking at other makes and considering a Panasonic plasma, surprisingly not much more expensive with some online deals.

A Lot Of People Say The Sound Is Poor But Mine Is

A lot of people say the sound is poor but mine is fine.

The picture on the Samsung LE40R88BD tv is very pixelated when watching normal/digital tv or using a scart connection or any thing not HDMI connection. I have now managed to make the settings just right so that the pictures do not seem to boxy and pixelated.

This took very long to do. Nearly 3 hours a day for 3 day!! Almost threw the remote at it hence the 3 days as its very frustrating paying £500 to see every pixels and boxes!! I can give my settings if that helps anyone : )

It doesn't handle dark scenes very well or fast moving images. Admittedly this has improved since I first set it up (1 week ago) I guess the TV needed warming up but you can still see the pixels.

If you have great eye sight (lasered) i would not consider this TV. If you have average or poor then your eyes may not notice the boxes around everything.

I haven't tested it with HDMI connections but if you would like to know the picture quality e-mail me [email protected] and I'll send you individually or post another review.

If I could return this tv I would get my money back and get another brand or higher resolution but i've opened the box and installed it now so i'm stuck with it!!

I hope this helps someone!! Good luck!!

This Is Really A Very Good Value For Money Not Onl

This is really a very good value for money not only when I bought for £589.99 but also will save my electric bill as the operating cost is going to be minimal. Don't forget the recent hike in gas and electricity prices. Save your money and the environment at the same time with this TV.

I Have Had The Samsung Le40r88bd For About A Month

I have had the Samsung LE40R88BD for about a month now, and can honestly say the picture quality and build quality are truly superb! I paid £705.00 from "Currys", and can safely say one of the best bargains I have ever bought. So if you are thinking of getting a LCD Tv, I would strongly recommend you take a look at this tv. Plus some of the deals you can get are outstanding!
