I switched from IndiaLD to rebtel and literally had nightmare dealing with them, wasted my $50 and was never happy. Wasted my 1-2 hours with their customer service and every time they say sorry there is technical problem OR SOME OTHER EXCUSE. They are cheat stay away from them. I am back to IndiaLD and did not waste my time in chatting with them because my problem was never solved. I cant use two numbers at the same time to make international call, they kept me charging without my consent and when I requested refund they say sorry not our policy, I have been in the US for over 10 years and dealt with so many awesome companies and they refunded my money whenever I have requested (at least 2 times) but this Fraud company wont do it even once. Stay away from them if you love your time and want to save some money

My minutes were running out fast so i decided to take closer look at how much i was charged per minute. I found they doubled what they advertise on there site. Site says .27/min my bill says .40/min. BEWARE AND CHECK TO SEE HOW MUCH YOU ARE BEING CHARGED PER CALL OR RIPPED OFF PER CALL.They are deceptive and hard to contact. After trying to contact them i receive generic replies about rates which i assume is computer generated. Once my minutes run out i plan on finding new provider and filing complaint. If anyone has same experience you can file complaint with Swedish Consumer protection agency  regardless of your location. I advise everyone to calculate and see what they are being charged per call, you may be surprised.

Having attracted with the rates, i switched to rebtel and right from the very starting minute, its been pain !! The quality is just rubbish. Does not work with 3G at all. It says its connected fine, but nothing can be heard. Never worked with 3G. With Wifi, it worked about 10% of the times. I am a frequent caller to india. I would have spent more time in trying to get a call connected rather the talking time. Waste of money, waste of time.

unfortunately i recharged 10 dollers and felt its poored into water only,it is very bad network i ever seen , 1 even not done one call from this app. Best suggestion you pls go apps like nymbo or skype .

I purchased 10 dollar credit and never been able to use it. unfortunately, rebtel customer service has changed dramatically.

I live in North America; have had a chance to use Rebtel for 6 month or so. First, let me talk about their SMS service. It sucks! I'm not sure how the system selects on what phone number to assign an SMS icon, most of the time the icon does not appear next to the contact that was added, and an e-mail to the customer service has to be sent, and their reply which will take days to say "we have received your e-mail" and then another days to say, it has been fixed. Which I don't have time to wait for, all these in days?? Even when you sent an SMS, it gets delayed almost 90% of the time, and Rebtel always blames the 3rd world countries or the developing countries Telecommunication service, which I have hard time to believe when I can send an sms to 3 different people leaving in the same city/region and radius, only 1 will get the sms in minutes, while the others gets it in hours or even days later. Are you kidding me Rebtel??? The phone service is acceptable considering, occasionally a network problem which can happen with all VIP phones; however whenever I added minutes almost all the time, I won't see my added minutes or balance for another 10-20 minutes, and that is a time I can't afford to lose, since most calls are made overseas and there are time zone concerns and etc...so timing is very important to me, which I never got from Rebtel till the end. I have had a handful of dropped calls while calling different parts of the world; I was given a credit for some, which is of course after complaining. Due to all my experiences, I did not feel comfortable leaving my CC information saved there during that 6 month I was using. Now as I write this, my account has been blocked for unknown reason, it's still locked and I'm tired of going back and forth with their inconsistent customer service I was forced to abandon my account and look for other service elsewhere.

hard to heard people on the line, it drop calls. i have to call them like 10 times and they charge me everytime they connect me!! way to expensive i found other services better and cheaper, dont waste ur money you eill regret it

Just bought Rebtel campaign for $25 for 385 minutes trying to call another number telling me I don't have enough credit to call. Am angry as hell. The campaign is reap off. Something needs to be done. Am going to call Chambers of Commerce about reap off that happened with $25.00

I signed up to call Vietnam at 3.5cents/min. A great deal right? I thought so at the time. The call quality is very good but that is where the lustre quickly fades. Not too long after I signed up, I receive a letter advising me that my rates would go up to 6.9cents/min and there is nothing that could be done to avoid it. Almost double!! I thought it was convenient that they wait until the money exchanges and then the letter goes out. I did some research and found other people had the same problem. To make things worse, I went back to the website and the same low rate is still being advertised. Shady business practices? False advertising? You bet! Be wary people. They are not to be trusted.

This is the worst rip-off ever. Minimum calling credits is £7 and no less. Drop out rate on calls to Singapore is very high. Can't even get through most of the time ("I'm sorry but we are unable to connect your call" is the usual response). 90% of the time I had to try more than 30 mins continuously back to back dialing before getting through and even so sometimes I am still unable to connect! Waste of my inclusive minutes on my mobile for trying. I would not recommend this service as it is a complete waste of money! I still have credits remaining but I have decided to abandon it.

I've been using Rebtel for about 2 years. They work about 50% of the time. I have other services so its no big deal. However, because I was counting on using them I added credit to my account and very soon aftwards they suspended my account. I tried to get in touch with ANYONE there and found out they only work 8 to 8 GMT during the work week, but not this week!?!? Its between 8 and 8 and there is no one there. On the website it says they 'try' to get back to you in 10 hours. What a con!!!! They wait until you top up and then 'lock' your account for no reason and no way to talk to anyone. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID!!

I started using Rebtel a few days ago.I credited my account with US$10 , to stay in touch with my Family. After making a few calls I cant call my contacts any more. I contacted the customer service but no reply. It has been going on for days, but no help received. My money is sitting there and I cant make use of it. I couldn't contact anybody. these people rip you off your money and dont even keep up with the promise of the so called"best servive" that they write in bold on the web pages.... so people be careful..
I would not recommend this service to anybody. I am struck in the middle.

Rebtel sucks, too much noise, hard to connect, call drops automatically in a minute. I regret getting this service.

I was a huge rebtel fan, operative word being WAS there. Here is my story, I will try to be factual and leave the emotion out as hard as that may be.

My in laws are from Russia, my wife like talking to her family. It is very important to me that she be able to communicate with them on a regular basis since it helps with her overall sence of well being.

Many months ago I saw CNN do a story on the top 10 next big companies and one was rebtel, they even show you how to make free international calls. So I looked into. I went to their website and looked at the posted rates, which were 1.9 for Russia. I thought wow this is great. So I signed up and told my wife the great news, she could call even more often now because these rates are awesome. Fast forward approximately 4 months. First thing I notice is that all my contacts went from being labelled Russia to Kazakhstan, now my in-laws do not live in Kazakhstan they live in Russia, on of the older cities in Russia. At first I thought well computers are not perfect so maybe it was just a glitch, until my wife made a call and we were charged quadruple (a new rate of 7.9 cents a minute) what we had been on previous calls. Apparently Rebtel now designated my Russian in-laws as living in Kazakhstan even though they live in Russia, neat trick. So I did what any one would do I contacted them and asked what happen and why were my in laws being listed as Kazakhstan when they live in Russia. I didn't get an answer to my Kazakhstan question but the politely told me that they are constantly buying time from different vendors and sometimes the rates change, when this happens it is just too monumental to try and notify every user. The customer service rep also pointed out that the TOS state that rates can change with no advanced warning.

Now I thought OK I don't like it but yes they can change any time without advance notice and their TOS state this. So I look into this a bit further and find that the advertised rate for Kazakhstan is 4.8 cents a minute and Russia is still listed as 1.9 cents a minute yet my in-laws who are listed as Kazakhstan's have a rate of 7.8 cents a minute. WOW is this what you call a bait and switch, where I come from this gets your business license pulled and everyone filling law suits.
