Tefal GV7150

Today I sent this to Tefal:

Dear Tefal,

I have had this iron CV8330 for much usage,I am always away from the country most of time it is only me at home. Periodically I did have problems with brown staining on light clothing even though I was following the instructions. Recently it has got much worse impossible to use it, I am really busy with other things I let the problem go far but now I felt upset about it because was really expensive product I got this an investment for stress-free... wasn't! always spilling out dirty brown water which stains the clothes. Today I went online to see if was only me with this problem I have found lots people with the same complain which for me seems like a manufacture recall issue.I will put my comments online so people will may relate to my experience as well and maybe Tefal find a solution for us.

Initially cut ironing time in half. Just under 12 months later steamer stopped working. Under warranty and replaced faulty part. Just under 12 months later (and out of warranty) - same issue. I will not buy another one - they are too expensive for a very limited shelf life.

apart from the brown stuff that spits out all over your nice white shirts and the fact that the wire to the iron has open circuited causing the iron not to heat up its a lot to pay for an item that doesn't last long and cost you more in re-washing clothes that have been ruined by the brown stuff

I bought this Tefal Steam generator 12 months and 3 weeks before it started clicking instead of steaming, then packed up entirely- Difficult to actually speak to anyone at Tefal/Werl. Been quoted £105 to repair. Expensive ironing!!!!

This equipment GV 7150 Ironing steamer purchased in July 2008. Great strokes, but does not automatically onytkalken. TEFAL OF SERVICE IS VERY BAD! 6 weeks are machine back to the store because it came out brown mess. Complaint was known to BCC. First tried to steam clean, but that did not. In consultation with Tefal Tefal sent to. This is a machine with descaling AUTOMATIC reporter. Can only ordinary water. You can do nothing wrong. Today the unit came back after 6 weeks of the communication device TEFAL better maintained. There was clearly nothing done, body was still in the steam holes. This Sat the device under the fabric, tape, stickers, etc. Then we had him he wegbrachten NEW STATE. Until then only two times descaling. This means that he had used only 20 times! Fortunately that we had purchased equipment in BCC Beverwijk. The manager called and arranged a NEW MACHINE! Conclusion ... TEFAL IS BAD FOR HER CUSTOMERS, IS TOP BCC.

I could not believe some of the previous reviews, they must have been unlucky and got a duff one as giving it less than 5 stars seems unreal!

This is a Fantastic Iron, I love it! It's cut my ironing time down by more than half! Its easy to use and easy to clean out! I thought it was soooo good I recommended it to my mum who bought one and she also thinks its fantastic! Probably the best thing I bought last year!

I recommended it to a friend also and he liked it so much he bought one for his mum too.

This is a seriously amazing iron which I not only would but have highly recommended! Well worth the cost!

Used this tefal gv7150 about a dozen times and then it just stopped working, the pump give up. Utter waste of money, do not buy.

The Tefal GV7150 is excellent while it worked but lasted just 12 months and 2 weeks. Poor design of cord entry at the iron means the wire breaks due to continual flexing movement. This makes it an expensive option for a years worth of ironing. Would not recommend or purchase again.

Ignore the last review, this iron is absolutely fantastic!! its a pleasure to iron now as its so easy with this terrific tefal!

The Tefal GV7150 glides through all that ironing, its fab!!

Maybe I just had bad luck with my Tefal GV7150 steam generator, but I would not buy it again.
