Bought one of these from ebay in the UK from a registered seller as it had been recommended on "The Gadget Show" on FIVE in the UK. Bought it as a commuting aid and slight attempt to improve my fitness.
Overall, the KNOW-PED is great is what I expected. Within two days of using it I can confirm that:
(a) 32 minute walk to local station took 19 minutes on the Know Ped
(a) 13 minute walk from station to work took 4 minutes on the Know Ped
Disadvantages:
It is pricey; You do get a few funny looks from passers-by;
You need to be a little bit fit if you intend doing 25+ minutes so you might be a bit sweaty afterwards; First few times, my heel hurt afterwards; hopeless up-hill (you would be better walking)
Advantages:
Time saving (of course); Generally easy to carry on and off a train; Designed for adults (I am about 6 foot and it is still fine for me)
Tips: use with a back pack
Overall, satisfed with the product. Hope this has helped!

This is the only scooter I have seen that actually looks like an adults scooter. It is very well made.

The Gilera sp 50 is just as large and the heaviest 50 scooter on the market(109 kg) and it looks EVEN COOLER than your aprillia,but both have a liquid cooled engine as the only ones;yhe others are air cooled.The main difference between our bikes is that you have the radiator up high while I have mine down below,behind the front wheel.Happy driving.
