Kuchenhaus Kitchens

Cooker incorrectly and dangerously installed, with exposed wiring; worktop incorrectly cut and fitted; dishwasher incorrectly fitted; cooker hood never worked because the hob was not installed beneath it. Paid extra for bespoke doors that didn't fit. Despite the Kutchenhaus promise of a team of expert installers, only one fitter turned up - and only when he felt like it. When we complained, installation manager was rude and aggressive, and actually threatened to "come round and sort out" my elderly mother. When we told him that we had approached trade descriptions and the ombudsman, he replied, "Toothless tigers!" He was right. We got no help there, either. Neither did we get any help from Hitachi Capital, who were meant to be safeguarding our purchase. As punishment for complaining, Kutchenhaus NEVER finished our kitchen, despite being paid in full. Head Office never responded to our complaints. Eventually, we had to bring in an outside contractor to complete our kitchen. He said that the whole thing needed ripping out and re-starting. After Kutchenaus abandoned us, numerous other issues arose, the most serious of which resulted in an investigation by the water board due to suspected water poisoning. This turned out to be dishwasher water flowing back into our cold water pipes, burning our mouths and throats. After our nightmare experience, I implore everyone to give Kutchenhaus a wide berth.

Still waiting for kitchen to be finished . Started March 2007! Many parts missing or in correctly measured. No one interested in dealing with the problems until we spoke to manager at Trafford Centre. Even then our communications largely ignored, This company has no interest in customer service. They want your money straight away and then don't care. We have been hugely inconvenienced by their inefficiency and incompetence. Have nothing to do with this company.

We ordered our kitchen in September on the basis it would be completed by Christmas. Very helpful to start with but as soon as they had our cash that's when it started to fall apart! The kid they employed to design the kitchen ordered the wrong parts and this pushed the whole fitting back by weeks! The mistakes were only spotted when we went in to check and he didn't even remember us! Kitchen was being fitted Christmas week and we were only given notice a week or two prior; mad rush to then sort out electrician, decorator etc. Spoke to customer services during this time and they were about as helpful as a dead slug. The customer service chap was rude, impolite and didn't care! I ended up calling the Ops Director as we were then told it would be after Christmas (after ripping out our own kitchen!) He was helpful to a degree but had since vanished. Kitchen arrived and lots of things were missing: bin, lights we ordered were wrong etc. I called to complain and was promised x, y and z. The promises failed to materialise. The kid who designed the kitchen got all the measurements wrong so it cost us a lot of time fitting the kitchen with things missing and lots of snags; only reason it got sorted was because of the amazing fitters (who seem to get constant grief from unhappy clients). Roll on a few months later and guess what? Still missing items, kitchen still not complete and I still haven't had a call from anyone at Kutchenhaus even leaving messages, e mailing etc. They keep ordering the wrong things and replacements and then promise they have ordered things and blatantly haven't! The place is an absolute joke. They don't care about the customer. They care about the cash and I'm not holding my breath for my kitchen to be finished by Summer! I'd avoid them completely and if I had a choice I'd have gone elsewhere. They only care about your money, appalling customer services and an Operations Director that isn't interested at all. We have chased and chased and chased various people but still nothing! I'd look elsewhere if you're looking for a kitchen. Product is nice but expensive but the upset they have caused outweighs everything! If you're from Manchester or local to the North West I'd avoid Kutchenhaus at the Trafford Centre! Absolute jokers!

Had numerous kitchens fitted over the years, in various properties. Just had one fitted by Kuchenhaus Kitchens, superb quality and detail by their fitters, and the work surfaces are extremely hard to damage, and look superb The equipment fitted is top draw and the planning service was a great help and gave us great help in choosing our design. We had a small issue with one door which was resolved to our satisfaction, we would recommend this company to our family and friends.

GREAT DESIGN, NO PRESSURE SELL, GREAT CHOICE, ALL CAME AND EASY TO INSTALL, ONLY ONE SMALL ISSUE WAS THE TIME TO ARRIVE - 6 WEEKS OVER ALL VERY PLEASED WITH THE PRICE AND THE QUALITY IS SPOT ON!

1st chapter of the bad experience of purchasing a kitchen from the York branch.

1. They lure you into the fancy showroom and promise you this and that.

2. They then design a kitchen - which costs an arm and a leg; which

then suddenly drops to the budget you have had in mind. WOW! You say.

3. They have hooked you. They proceed to say a manufacturing slot has been

reserved and ask for a deposit for the surveyor [fitter] to measure.

Be aware that at this stage you are not told that there is a charge for

this visit.

4. You get reminder calls if you have not paid the deposit - disguised as

trying to arrange an appointment for the surveyor.

5. Everyone at the showroom is absolutely sugar and spice; returning your

calls and answering any queries you may have.

6. You get more calls after the surveyor has been to return to the showroom

to finalise the design, etc. etc.

7. Be prepared for a shock as when you return to go through the design

etc. etc. the price of your new kitchen has risen significantly!

My new shiny red kitchen looks fabulous, the design has come together exactly as we imagined & the quality really shows.

Pantry cupboard works extremely well installed by professionals, a big thanks to the team.

Just a few minor details to be finished but it certainly is a show off kitchen.

After being let down from previous builder/installer of kitchen (blessing in disguise we have come to learn), we approached kutchenhuas to install, and it was the best decision we made. We are still in the middle of install - ***update of review when finished**** but for now the customer service and attention from the team is fantastic compared to other companies we had been dealing with.

We have been dealing with staff from the Sutton Coalfield store. Great service - we popped in after we made the decisions on purchasing kitchen as we wanted to change mind on colour and they were very patient and spent a few hours helping us - real personalised service!!!

We have also been working with someone from the installs team - again fantastic sorting out the logistics and giving advice, great all round service.

As mentioned still in middle of install waiting for corian worktops to be templated, but quality of install from the team is BRILLIANT...we have a few minor snags from the install to mention, but have the confidence that these will be rectified.

We would wholly recommend the whole process from our experience

When my husband and I first walked past the Kuchenhaus store we loved the look of the kitchens on display, but never thought we could afford one. We first went into the store to get some ideas for what we could do to our existing kitchen, and were pleasantly surprised at the great deals available. We sat down with one of the designers and came up with a perfect solution for our limited space, which gave us everything we needed. The design experience was a pleasure, and we were able to get to a price that worked for our budget, without compromising on quality or toys. The leadtime extended out a little longer than expected, but it was worth waiting for in the end. The Installation crew were great guys, who worked hard from the minute they got in. The quality of the workmanship was first class. There was only one minor issue with a slight leak on the waste pipe, but that was addressed very quickly. Would highly recommend Kuchenhaus - first class !!
