The Windermere, Ellerthwaite Lodge Hotel excellent hotel, one of the best.

The new owner,Alistair, has invested a lot of time & money modernising this hotel to the standard you would die for.

We will definitely return to this hotel.

Brilliant place to stay, loved it. Nice and clean. Food very nice and about 10 mins walk down down hill to Bowness on Windermere and taxis are very easy to get to get back up the hill. Had a very good weekend break. My stay at the Ellerthwaite Lodge Hotel was brill, thanks so much for a lovely time.

Peaceful family run hotel. Nice room, good bed, very clean and well decorated. I'm especially fussy about bathrooms and this one was modern, bright and spotless. Owners friendly and very helpful. Close to Windermere centre. Handy for the bus or a short stroll down to Bowness. Lovely breakfast. No bad points that I can think of. My daughter and I really enjoyed our overnight stay here and would definitely stay again. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the room was perfect for our needs.

Ellerthwaite Lodge Hotel is in a very good area just a nice walking distance. We tried the Jade Chinese and the Lighthouse cafe bar both very nice would definitely return to this hotel soon. Could of had a few more luxury things like bathrobes and nice products for the price we paid. Would of been nice if hotel had served snacks during the day and evening.
