Applied for a card via Quidco - sent me to the wrong website so ending up spending £500 per month for 3 months on the wrong card (visa not Amex!) Then applied in Wife's name directly missed spending around £100 in the first billing month - the clock is ticking from when you apply NOT when the Card / Pin arrives! LTSB QUIDCO AVIOS Totally unsympathetic! Avoid!… Read Full Review

Avios used to be quite an exciting concept but is now a waste of time (but thats avios not lloyds) My main point is this credit card online. Its impossible to keep track of transactions as they dont update. im alomst at the end of 2 weeks to wait for transactions to be shown from tesco, holiday in, asda..These are businesses that claim money everyday so no excuses really. This is a very regular occurence. The transactions should be there. Ive called and called and the best piece of rubbish… Read Full Review

 I applied for the Duo cards under the 15000 points bonus on the AMEX card. As the qualifying dates & start date we're not clear I called Lloyd's. The guy told me that due to the multitude of start dates what they did was to calculate the AVERAGE spend over the first 3 months. In the first 3 months I spent around £2500 and each monthly statement was over £600. With these 2 facts I had clearly qualified for the bonus-however not in Lloyd's eyes. I was told that I hadn't qualified on 2 counts, firstly because I had to apply via the Avios website and not Lloyd's. Secondly I hadn't spent the minimum £500 pm. I explained to Lloyd's that it was them who sent me the promotion and it was them who offered it and it was completed on there website-no mention of Avios website. The guy told me that it couldn't have been Lloyd's website as they were not running this promotion at the time. (If this was the case then in there eyes I must have applied on the Avios website). When I told him that I had a PDF copy of the original offer he soon changed his tune and admitted there mistakes. It was handed to Lloyd's complaints dept. They called me back, accepted that I had been fed incorrect information by there people however still will not honour the offer. Needless to say I am very angry and am looking to take this matter further. Any suggestions?

They say you get 15000 airmiles on Avios. That's true, what they don't tell you is you do you get a free flight to some European destination for free BUT you must buy the full package hotel+flight; the hotels are so expensive it is not worth it, so in the end I wasn't able to use the 15000 bonus, unless I was willing to pay £150 a day for the hotel, I rang AVIOS, they didn't make any effort to reach out to fix this... I said I was willing to book the hotel they proposed for just 2 nights, but… Read Full Review

I travel yearly with my wife to Malaysia where her family live. It does not matter if i pre-warn Lloyds the cards are always blocked without fail when i try to make my first purchase. THen as with other users experiences i have to make lengthy expensive phone calls so i can eventually get them working again. Normally only to have them cancelled again in a few days time. Never use again!!!… Read Full Review

Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo. Worst expereience with a credit card ever. I have had the same experience as other reviewers with the card being blocked by 'fraud detection' even after notifying the issuer tha I am travelling abroad. This is embarrasing and inconvenient, usually involving lengthy calls to the overseas number by mobile phone to sort the mess out. Recently, I tried to use the card in Europe and found that EFTPOS card readers in Holland and Belgium cannot read the chip. As a result, I… Read Full Review

Used at Christmas 2010 for just over £200, no payments requests received until yesterday when I received notice from the payment centre saying i had not paid my bill. On checking they had my address as Marbella, United Kingdom when it should be Spain. Four lengthy calls later after being cut off from India twice (the person was hardly English speaking) I rang UK and explained all over again, I was asked to go into a branch to pay - ugh so I have to go to UK to pay my credit card? After sheer… Read Full Review

Only had one a few weeks. When I activated, I was asked whether I wanted to set up a D/D. I said yes, as I plan to pay off in full each month and incur no interest. I just want the Airmiles.
I called today as I hadn't had my statement (apparently 'in the post'), and checked that the d/d was set up to pay it off. "Oh - No, there's nothing on there. I gave her the date and name of person who activated the card and supposedly set up the D/D - but "it's not showing on the system".
Had I not…

Have had these cards for years, bank with LLoyds for business and personal and should really move but have established a relationship over the years. These cards get declined automatically REGULARLY, i have had several embarrassing and potentially disastrous experiences. Last month my wife and i went to New York, it was a 40th birthday treat and i promised her a new bag whilst there. Having experienced LLoyds randon card stopping i called before went, only to be told on the auto answering… Read Full Review

Lloyds regularly automatically block these cards for no reason at all, so you have to phone up and go through the whole securtiy thing, after which they say they will update the card and make it sound as if they have done you a favour. It is inconvenient, embarrassing and very poor customer service. AVOID… Read Full Review

I only took this card out (Airmiles Duo Card) a few weeks ago, the reason being that I've moved from Barclaycard after a security-related incident that was handled incredibly badly by one of their overseas call centres - then when I complained the recording was missing - so they refused to investigate. Anyway, that's Barclaycard - now I've problems with Lloyds TSB.
On joining I asked for a second card for my husband and was told he would have to complete a form that would be put in the post…

Lloyds duo has an automatic fraud prevention system which is a good idea but doesn't work. I had a payment to Apple computers for 2500.00 blocked as it looked suspicious? Called them and approved to payment, then got billed for the same payment again. Called the fraud prevention team who suggested calling Apple to refund the card. I would have thought that the 2nd payment would have been flagged up as suspicious and stopped. The fraud prevention measures clearly do not work and the numpties you… Read Full Review

Took out the LLoyds Duo card to get Airmiles as wife and myself spend quite a lot each month on credit cards. Always pay off in full and as a regular traveller there is spending across europe if not worldwide on a regular basis. The biggest problem is that it will be blocked from time to time due to irregular spending but that is how we use it. Have had a couple of very awkward moments when payment has been declined. One was for excess baggage at the airport where I had to ask our customer to… Read Full Review

I made a payment from my Lloyds internet bank account and although it left my current account, the payment was never credited to the Duo card account. The money has gone into what custmer services are calling a "black hole". I have spent 5 hours over 2 months trying to get my payment which was substantial credited back to my account. It has been blamed on a new system. Every time I try to get through to someone who is more than front line support on the TSB system, I get fobbed off with… Read Full Review

Absolute RUBBISH! Bad customer service, VERY bad!
I have held a lloydstsb classic card for approx 8 years.Never had any issues.
Decided to apply for the airmiles duo card through airmiles website as they offer a 1500 mile voucher.
Card got accepted fine, no problems, only to find out that my existing lloydstsb card had been cancelled, and my remaining balance(0% until 12/09) was transferred across to the airmiles card.
Not only that, they had reduced my available limit right down from £5500.00…

The wrong account number was printed on my Lloyds TSB Duo Air Miles Credit Card July statement which I didn't realise. I paid my bill as usual but the amount was not credited to my account. My bank statement shows the amount has been paid. The Customer Services people were very nice but I have rung 3 times now to get it sorted, I now have to go to the branch I paid it from to ask them to chase it. Dealing with this over the phone is hard as I have all the proof in the paperwork but they can't… Read Full Review

I spend thousands every year on both my lloyds tsb airmiles duo cards, internationally. I have never had any problems. Occasionally they stop a transaction to check it's genuine as it has flagged up a potential security breach. But they telephone you immediately to see it's okay. That's happened twice in three years. I prefer that than being cloned. Great customer service and I get free flights from having them… Read Full Review

Absolutely appalling! I only used LLoyds TSB Airmiles Duo as we used to collect airmiles from natwest but its not worth airmiles points. I paid for an item that wasn't delivered and the merchant did not refund our money. So I called & spoke to Lloyds customer service who said they would send a form etc. Forms filled out & proof of purchase/contract sent out. A few later, I get a letter from Lloyds that says 'whilst they sympathise, they cannot refund the money & I would have to take it up with… Read Full Review

I wasn't too happy about moving from Natwest who had run the Airmiles card well for many years. I struggled on until May 2009 when my Amex card was refused. LTSB call centre suspected fraudulent activity and said that my card would work ok the next day. It didn't. The next call to them told me that they had implemented a new system and somehow my cards wouldn't work, not ever and so they would send out replacements in two weeks as they were putting in a new system and couldn't issue cards… Read Full Review
