“ no contact, no customer service! Avoid”

I recently placed an order at the value of nearly £800. The company claim they will deliver within 10 working days. So I waited for 10 working days to receive shipping confirmation or delivery. I got nothing, so I called, they don’t answer, so I emailed. They finally reply and claim that one part on the order was not available, so wanted to ship without it. This part was a crucial piece and matched others in the order, so I suggested the give me a alternative size, I even gave them part numbers to make it easy. All I got was a no stock, and disinterested response. No attempt to resolve the issue. So eventually after 3 weeks I gave up and requested a refund. This company are a joke, no contact, no customer service!

“Rubbish customer service - don't answer the phone or...”

Ordered £250 worth of soffit and fascia boards. First they delivered the wrong coloured fascia boards as well as completely different shade of H trim to the soffit board colour despite supposedly being from same manufacturer and same RAL. They then send out the correct coloured fascia boards but despite advising I am not available to take delivery until after a specific date, they still send it out. The courier firm they used threw the fascia boards over the gates (and without a signature) so that they lay in a bent angle for almost a week. Contacted them to advise this was the case and offered a replacement or 20% refund for fascia boards. Reply back to say I will accept the 20% refund and to follow up about the H trim as issue not resolved. Three emails later and numerous voicemails left but no-one returning my calls. Ringing their sales number just rings out to their voicemail.

Exactly the same treatment I’ve received so far . None ! I received a soffit piece with a split down the middle. Refused to take it . The courier took it back . I can’t get any contact with “customer service “

Waited over my 7 days for delivery. One piece brokensent pics straight away. Emailed and phoned every day .always and machine and never a reply from email.been over a week trying now and no response. Was value for money but as broken not value any more.wpuld rate below 1 but 1 the lowest

“Misleading Delivery Timescales & Poor Customer Service”

National Plastics Ltd. have failed to deliver goods 2 weeks after order despite 3-5 day deliver timescale. Despite several emails to National Plastics Ltd. they have failed to respond to emails. I would not use National Plastics Ltd. again.

“Refused to refund for faulty goods”

I purchased cladding which when arrived was faulty. It took me 2 days to be able to speak to someone about it and was then told they would not refund me. Stay away from this company, they are operating outside the law in terms of contractual obligations to customers.

“Would not use again.”

I ordered bathroom panels online from this company and confirmation email stated 5 working days, i booked day off work on 5th working day, my order did not arrive. I contacted customer services numerous times, phone line was going straight to answer machine, i left messages with no reply. I finally got through to lady who said my order would be with me the next day. When the order finally came 4 out of the 8 panels were damaged,again i tried to contact customer services but had no joy. Would not buy from this company again.

“National Plastics Online Ordering”

I ordered the continuous Dry Verge system which included a couple of straight connectors I need. The company quoted a 7 day delivery time which suited, with free delivery. However nearly 2 weeks later I recieved an email saying that due to staff shortages they were running behind on orders and there was a delay. I tried to contact the company but you cannot get a reply on the phone and they do not reply to messages and emails. Having sent a complaint email my items turned up a week later but they had not sent the connectors but two ridge caps instead. I again tried to contact them but recieved no reply. I went into my local branch who were more help and mannaged to get hold of the on line base in Gwent. The person on the phone was sorry and said he would send the right connectors. Sure enough within a few days a package arrived with two connectors. However they were the wrong size so I have been trying to contact them ever since to sort it but have had no luck... That was a month ago and I'm still waiting for a reply. I've found another place that stocks the system and sorted it today. My advice for using this company is go into your local depot but if it isn't on the shelf don't order it go elsewhere!!

“Yes, Very good”

I ordered with National plastics basically because of the price. Delivery times are not brilliant, mine took 2 weeks and delivered by Tuffnells undamaged. It was for a semi detached bungalow, guttering and downpipes which I did myself in a couple of days. It was all floplast materials and exactly the same quality which you would buy from anywhere else.

“nothing good at all”

ordered black ash facia and soffits, delivery time is terrible 7 days any other firm ive dealt with half of that, came all damaged have continually phoned emailed left messages no reply 3 weeks been waiting for areply avoid at all costs bad firm no excuse for this, are one of the cheapest, but the worst

“Zero customer service!! Poor returns policy!!”

National plastics were recommended to us due to their reasonable prices compared to other places. Having built up from a bungalow into a house, we required Geo panels for our bathroom and en suite. Visited the shop/warehouse in Llansamlet, didn't find it very appealing, some members of staff seemed ok, collected samples and to be fair we were offered the online prices. Having chosen what we wanted for the bathroom we returned only to be told that what we wanted was now discontinued. We chose something else then got told by a miserable member of staff that he had no idea when they would be in next. Returned a week later, the products had now come in, we paid cash and collected them ourselves. Now ready to do the en suite, purchased the Geo panels for the ceiling, paid in cash, collected them ourselves, but got told that the ones we wanted for the walls had come in on a different colour! So we took our custom elsewhere. When we got home we opened the pack and noticed a very dark mark on one of the panels. A couple of days later when we had time we returned this item, waited ages to be served, then got served by the same miserable man who struggled to smile and behaved as if he didn't want to be there! He had no people skills! We explained about the mark on the item and asked if we could swap it. He had bad attitude! He tried to say it was our fault for storing it in direct sunlight!? That is not the case as we collected the product, brought it straight home (15 mins drive) on a cloudy day might I add, then took it straight upstairs in the house. firstly, when we collected it he did not explain anything about sunlight, secondly, how do we know that it hadn't been exposed to sunlight prior to us collecting it? It was in the pack so we wouldn't have noticed until we actually opened it! He even said "I don't care." Shocking attitude, we will not buy there again!

“No Quality Control”

Ordered some J profile finishings at 6m length. They arrived 'protected in a sandwich of soffit material. The soffit pieces were undamaged but the profile lengths were all kinked and one was almost snapped in two. The only conclusion I can come to is they deliberately packed damaged items. Similar to others on here, I have emailed 4 times, telephoned twice and finally asked to speak to a grown up. Their CS is non-existent.

I would like to thank the gentleman in the Swansea depot of your company, he deals with the windows and doors. A genuinely lovely guy who was more than happy to help me with my queries. Despite only being a d.i.y customer, he gave me all the attention i needed and helped me out no end. It's nice to see that good customer service still exists, i purchased a small window for my house for an excellent price and the whole service was faultless, it was delivered to my house within 10 days, as promised. I would highly recommend using their services for any of your needs. I am now planning to renew additional windows and doors as i didn't realise it could be so easy and affordable. If you're looking to do the same, go and see the the stocky gentleman with red hair, a true gent. Thanks for everything

“Great service from Christchurch store”

Went in here for some gutter to match the one on my house. The guys were really helpful and went out of their way to find a match for the colour and shape. I only spent about £40 but they seemed so keen to help that I am going back next week for some fascia boards that they showed me as well as some nifty gutter brushes that I didn't know existed until they showed me. Great enthusiasm and product knowlege - a rare thing these days!

“Not impressed..... Could it be changed?”

Placed an order which was processed very quickly and send out (was happy). Order arrived I followed there guidance on checking the order (was minding my you do daughter at the time and couldn't check order straight away so signed as damaged just incase, this is what there website says to do). Checked the order within 3 hours and found half of it was damaged and unusable. So far I'm 5 days in 2 emails and 18 calls and 2 voicemails left and I'm still waiting to hear from them or even speak to them. I live in hope that the next post I write can change what I wrote in this one.

Bought some plastic fascia and soffit from National Plastics on line.Items were delivered in two days and were of good quality. Because of the good delivery decided to buy a lot more fascia and soffit also online.These items were delivered in three seperate loads all on the same day causing me some confusion as to what i had received, on the invoice some items were marked (to follow) so I waited, and waited, and now find my installation held up because of none delivery of these items,already paid for.Rang their freephone number and e mailed several times.The first calls, customer services assured me the missing items would be sent but now they don't bother answering my queries.Now feel let down and out of pocket.There does not seem to be a manager available I can talk to, so future customers beware.

“dissatisfied ”

I bought 8 windows & 3 doors in 2013. Since then one door has been replaced after 6 months of rangling the second has been repaired. All the window cill are curved and one window will not shut without fiddling. Exeter branch blame there supplier. Supplier won't act until instructed by nAtonal plastics. My next move is an inindependent survey and solicitors action.

I have had a similar problem. My depot of National Plastics in Cheltenham will not resolve a problem with my doors from the supplier and have become "off" with me even though they agree that the problem is unacceptable.

“BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Went to purchase some facia from the Corby branch and while i was standing there waiting to get served.I heard one of the chaps in the office talk to his member of staff like he was dirt under his feet,very rude,i personally would have not tolerated that,very unprofessional.I felt sorry for the staff that work with that chap.When the same person took my order he seemed very abrupt and his mannerism was harsh towards me. The product was great and got the job done.Will not be using National Plastics again.I will be going to GBP Plastics in Kettering as ive used them before and they was great,very polite,unlike the Corby branch.

“Poor customer service”

Called in to the llansamlet store for a few things,was greeted with a grunt by a member of staff. Explained what I was after and was given the price,although I could'nt really understand what was said,as he was struggling a bit due to a mouthful of something he was eating. After taking payment my goods where dumped at my feet and off he went without another word! I must add that I am more than happy with the goods,but the staff need to up their game when it comes to customer service. Next time I'll go somewhere else.

just had 2 orders from national plastics delivered , first class service, great comms and fantastic delivery. its a nice change to have a decent company you can trust, and deliver the goods on time. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone wanting good materials and fair prices also free fast delivery over £25. I will be using this company again when my next project gets underway. WELL DONE NATIONAL PLASTICS.
