“DO NOT USE”

I cannot recommend Bride & Groom Direct. They accept payment for your order and do not tell you if an item is in stock and when you will receive it. When my order did not arrive I rang and was told that it would be despatched this week. Now I am told to ring later in the week, they do not know when the stock will arrive nor when the order will be despatched. They cannot tell you which items are in stock and could be printed quickly until after you submit (AND PAY FOR) your order. There is no manager available to speak to you. I was informed that the envelopes were sent a week ago - useless without the invitations - however they have still not arrived and apparently will be resent. I am appalled at the standard of customer service offered by this company. It is shocking. I am about to order alternative invitations as we need to send them out. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. This is the second such experience that we have encountered with Bride and Groom Direct.

“Poor delivery courier”

I ordered wedding invitations and the order was processed quickly. The invitations were fine however I was expecting a better quality of ink on the cards. However very disappointed with the DX courier man. He did not ring my door bell and had already taken a picture of my front door to prove I guess he had visited. As I opened the door he looked surprise. He was already writing something on his electronic pad. I confirmed my name and he gave me the package. I later learned he had forged my signature by entering only initials. Very sad really.

“Do not use”

We ordered personalised thank you cards, paid our money and approved the proof. 3 weeks later we chased to see when we might receive the order and were told that the cards we had chosen were now obsolete. The item was still being shown on the website days later. Although there were other cards we liked we did not feel we could trust Bride and Groom Direct to deliver the goods and therefore ordered from another company who delivered within 3 days.

“Unreliable, poor customer service and disappointed”

We booked online for a wedding and paid the extra £50 for it to be dispatched quickly - was told it would arrive by a certain date.. still waiting. I'm greatly unhappy and disappointed. Poor customer service and its difficult to get hold of them. Please do not use. I will not be a repeat customer.

“Novice online shopper”

I placed an order for a wedding memory box and make a mistake when finalising. I phoned immediately-no queue-to get it sorted and unfortunately, it wasn't. I sent an email, and a great lady called Gayna not only sorted it but took time to both email and call me. This is customer service at it's best and has made my day. In fact, my year. she has no idea just how much she helped me and I'm soooo grateful. As for the gift, it is absolutely amazing and I know my nephew and his bride will love it. The quality is brilliant and if I could afford to, I would buy a dozen to have for any future weddings! Gayna, thank you so much. I am looking forward to the big day on Saturday 16 August ! If only there was a Gayna to fix the weather in Scotland! Annie Re hint - make special delivery charge more prominent especially for us novices with poor eye sight!

“Non-existant customer service”

I ordered the proof of a save the date card, which was confirmed by the company via email. When it arrived they had sent us the wrong item. I then emailed to say what had happened but didn't even get a response, never mind the correct proof! Difficult to say whether anyone actually works there...

After researching online, I came across Bride & Groom direct for my wedding invites and stationary. The website was fab and really helped me to personalise the invites the way I wanted. I had a couple of queries and contacted customer service using the website chat and they were more than happy to help with anything! I've since posted out my invites and have received so many compliments. My guests are so happy, they love them as much as I do! Thanks very much to bride and groom as they've really helped to make my wedding special.

“Won't be using again! ”

The order took over 4 weeks to deliver! Communication from the company was appalling! And when I finally got my invites the colour of the envelopes didn't match the paper colour! Wouldn't recommend and won't be using them again! Will find another company to do the rest of my stationary!

Ordered day and evening invitations, plus thank you cards from this company. Really impressed with everything. The quality was excellent, there was always someone helpful on the phone if needed, and the value for money is pretty good. The only downside, was the amount of time each proof took to come through, but once finalised and ordered, the order arrived within 7 days.

I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY LET ME DOWN MOST BADLY BY FAILING TO DELIVER THEIR GOODS ON TIME!!! THis order was for my wedding day and I placed my order in good time. The order was acknowledged but the goods did not appear. I became anxious and started to chase nearer the time of my wedding. I was given reassurances and promised most faithfully that the goods would be delivered in time. Nothing appeared and my order finally arrived the Tuesday AFTER my wedding! I would stress that the error was entirely on the side of the company and there was no fault on my side.

BEWARE. I ordered our wedding invitations online after receiving some samples and reading good reviews about them. The invitations were received in good time however the layout of the text was cramped and not aligned as ordered. I was a little disappointed but not crushed about it, they didn't look too professional but we could have got over it. I was disappointed that they hadn't rung & let me know, they rang because they'd 'lost' the design so could easily have mentioned it then & at least we'd have known what to expect I e-mailed customer services with my comments and received the most horrible e-mail in reply. They basically said that they'd assumed it should have been done the way they did it, instead of the way I ordered. And it may not be what I'd wanted but it was what they'd done so put up with it. I'm shocked & upset and have no intention of letting them trample on me like this. Wish I'd never gone near them

“We chose the "Pocket of Love" Invites and their...”

We chose the "Pocket of Love" Invites and their quality is excellent from the finely hammered card and neat embossing to the top class silver printing. Assembly is a doddle and we even got free gifts of a Wedding album and Guestbook which while they aren't "the best" they are certainly better quality than some free gifts I've had.
Our final choice wasn't one of their cheapest (although they were still cheaper than some others we'd seen elsewhere that weren't even as good!) We did get some samples of some of their cheaper range too and again I was impressed with the quality of them.
There are two small things that I would just mention that weren't 100%, Firstly our invites arrived missing a piece. It's true that things happen but it wasn't great and could be a problem for those in a rush. I'll give them their credit however they did resolve the matter and let me pick them up from their HQ the same day (This was my choice as wanted them ASAP, They were initially going to send the missing pieces immediately by post).
The second thing is their Telephone line isn't brilliant, I think that they don't have too many staff working on the line and so I had to wait but again to be fair, It was an 0800 and It wasn't really that long considering so I personally would let them off but I can see how it might frustrate someone if you were stressing over a big problem.

So all in all I would certainly recommend them for excellent quality at a reasonable price!

“I feel I have received very bad customer service from...”

I feel I have received very bad customer service from Bride & Groom Direct. Ordered invitations in December 08 and received my e-proof promptly within a week. E-mailed the company at least five times over the following four weeks requesting correction of an error in the proof (my fault) but didn't receive a reply. Tried to phone the 0800 customer service number on several occasions to be held in a queue. Eventually spoke to a member of staff 8 WEEKS after my proofs were issued to talk about correction of my error. The staff member was very helpful and assured me she would issue new proofs, however my order was dispatched the next day without correction, and as a result I am sitting with a box of incorrect invitations. My bank account was debited last week. Today I have phoned several times to discuss the issue - and I have been waiting six hours for a response, apparently being told repeatedly that "we don't have your paperwork in front of us - we'll call you back". I would not recommend this company to other customers.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely designs - there were at least 3 that I would love to have. When you actually see the invitations, they are even better than you imagined! I ordered my invitations on WEDNESDAY, and today (FRIDAY, yes, two days later) I have them in my hand. They are SO lovely. (The PURE ROMANCE design) I also had them printed in another language (Afrikaans) and they made NO mistakes!
