Sony ZX70DVD

Hi

I bought this player about 2 years ago, although i was not very impressed with the sound, too much of base which cannot be adjusted properly....

Worked fine till 2 years and then started freezes and skips 50% of dvd, However after using a DVD Cleaner and keeping the player in cool enviorment, close to A/C the dvd hardly skips or freezes movies, but still not 100% perfect

Worked okay for about 6 months. Very rarely used though. After sometime all DVD started giving the C:13:00 error. I tried playing a brand new DVD, same error.

Called up the service center...and the customer rep was rude and said that since I was out of warranty I will have to pay..Dont they understand that it's a known problem and that it's a manufacturing defect!!!.

Wish there was a way to do something about it...Anyone facing the same problems?.

I bought this Sony ZX70DVD player system about a year ago. looks really well, and sounds great. Big problem for a system like this is that it does not play CD-R's. For a stereo/dvd system to do this is criminal. I had bought the system, had it up and running and then discovered the small print that stated no CD-R's. Knocking loads of brownie points off for this....
