Minimum Setting Burns
Very disappointed. the very minimum setting is not low enough. Is impossible to to only slightly simmer a curry or cook a soup on a low heat. Boils uncontrollably all the time. I have had a proper full size induction cooker before and loved it. It is a shame that products like this give induction a bad name.

Poor
After 17 months the outer casing cracked for no apparent reason. Only having used this occasionally I can only assume there is an inherent defect especially having read other reviews on the subject

I Bought A Kenwood Ih100 Recently And It Worked Fo
I bought a Kenwood IH100 recently and it worked for about 5 minutes before giving an error code. The booklet states it needed to be returned to a service department. I'm awaiting a replacement.

The Kenwood Ih100 Is Well Built/packaged And Looks
The Kenwood IH100 is well built/packaged and looks good. The molded outer plastic frame is fairly rugged, and is not noticeably warmed during use.
The fan is a little noisy, however it is equivalent to the noise produced from a fan oven. Another reviewer mentioned that it beeps too often, I cannot see a problem with this;
It beeps when it is turned on.
It beeps when the pan is removed from the heat source, after about five seconds - then shuts down, however it will resume heating after it detects the pan is back on the platter.
It beeps when the pan boils dry, and then shuts down.
A good safety feature.
The interface is good and the timer works perfectly.
The main gripe is with the temperature control, as the heat source is either on or off, rather like a cheap microwave. Instead of cooking at a constant temperature on the minimum heat setting it will cook in a ten second cycle, IE 8 seconds idle and then a surge of heat for two seconds - due to the nature of induction cooking this can burn food instantly.
If you are simply boiling potatoes in a large body of water, then it will work perfectly.
Stir frying food is a complete failure as it is not quite hot enough and will randomly shut down due to overheating.
Most of the things you cook, unless they are immersed in water, will burn due to the pulse heating cycle, even when cooked on minimum. I tried to roast some sesame seeds in a wok, nothing happened for a few seconds, then they suddenly burnt. Tomato based dishes are often burnt at the bottom of the pan.
After 10 days of using this;
I have tamed it a little will a 8 inch x 1/4 inch iron ring placed between the pan and the heating platter so I can cook at a lower and constant temperature. However this defeats the purpose of an induction cooker as I could of just purchased a standard tabletop electrical element for less than $10.

After Checking That A Magnet Would Stick To The Bo
After checking that a magnet would stick to the bottom of my pans (required for the induction to work), I decided to buy this because I was told it was more efficient than a normal plug-in hob, and it certainly looks nicer than one!
I was pleasantly surprised by how efficient this actually is -- it boiled a saucepan of water about as fast as a cheap kettle would, on full power. The fan's a little loud but no louder than, say, an extractor fan, and overall I'm very impressed with it.

I Don't Recommend For Any Body (even My Worst Enem
I don't recommend for any body (even my worst enemy) to buy this appliance.
I think the reviewer was rather unfair on this product just because they didn't know the limitations of an induction cooker. There's a good page on wikipedia about how it works, but the basic point is that if a magnet sticks to the base of your pan, this will work, but if a magnet doesn't stick to the base of the pan, it won't.
