Ford Mondeo Hatchback 1.6 125 Zetec 5dr

Bought the car 5 years ago at about 14 months/9000 miles from a now defunct supersite. Apart from new front tyres at @17000 and aircon re-gassing,only costs gave been annual services. Fuel economy:43/44 mpg on long motorway trips and 36/7 on short local journeys.

Car is quiet and comfortable even for 5 people and holds an astonishing amount of luggage. Engine is smooth but perhaps a little underpowered, needing gear changes on hills.

Only concern has been the size of the car- too big for some multi-story car parks.

This is the oldest car I have ever owned, partly because it has proved so painless to run, partly because I cannot find anything to equal it at an acceptable price. Now waiting to see the new version out later this year.
