What a difference a few months make. With the advent this year of 1080i to 1080p resolutions at 17Mbps into Flash cards for high defintion filming its tempting not to upgrade. But with Grade 4 - 6 flash cards necessary for high bit rate streaming costing near £100 its also tempting to wait a bit until card prices inevitably fall.
I will upgrade my sr-90 but not just yet.

Unusually this cam is lovely to pick up and hold. The HDD is on the right of the body while the Dolby 5.1 microphones points skywards. The battery is at the rear of the body below the pull-out colour viewfinder. On the left side below the 2.5" widescreen colour LCD, the AV / USB / DC-in connectors reside behind a moulded flap.
The best feature is the Easy button for simple, operation and a 4:3 - 16:9 selector button making the switch from rectangular or widescreen ratio easy. Additionally, the SR90 offers Zoom and Record button controls on the outer side of the LCD screen frame, which is always very handy to have.

I've drooped it twice now with so far never a glitch so it seems fairly robust. Hope it stays that way. It has had a lot of field use for outdoor close up photography and is a delight to use.
The small compact chunky size coupled with a lot of video power makes it a joy to own and use.
Thoroughly recommended.
