“5 minutes walk to the Petronas Towers and Suria Mall....”

★★★★☆

written by Cbglagmay on 29/01/2010

5 minutes walk to the Petronas Towers and Suria Mall. Checking-in was kinda slow and they don't seem to honor lines. We got the family package and were given 1 room with a king-sized bed and a connected anteroom that serves as a living space and an office space where you can add more beds. Great! Two TV's and two bathrooms! Has balcony. Decor is standard but clean and well maintained. Room sizes are pretty large. We had a problem with the lights not working but the moment we called the operator, a hotel staff was sent in an instant. it was our mistake. We didn't see that the switch was off anyway. Airconditioning was great also. In a hot and humid city like Kuala Lumpur, the hotel's airconditioning was a relief. Complimentary breakfast is gourmet-style. Some restaurants downstairs. There's a piano artist that plays in the lobby, which is quite small actually. Very convenient hotel. Corus has organized tours in the lobby. And Aeroline bus is stationed in Corus as well. I liked our stay in Corus very much.

“Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur was conveniently located and...”

★★☆☆☆

written by drewmcadam on 25/07/2007

Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur was conveniently located and the staff are friendly and polite. However, for the price you pay you would expect a room bigger than a broom cupboard. If you have any clothes with you, which one would assume you do, then you are going to have no drawers in which to put them and you will find yourself living out of a suitcase.
If that wasn't bad enough, we were without AC and on a few days when the weather wasn't overly hot we needed the fan on at full belt and the window open too. That said, the staff were well aware of the airless heat, one waitress brought up the subject and mentioned the fact that Health and Safety meant you couldn't open the window, I did anyway.

Poor value for money, unless you like the idea of living in a cramped pod.
