For many years I have been shopping at Republic for all of my family. At Christmas I purchased £200.00 worth of vouchers for my student daughters. Now that they have gone into administration they are worthless. I find it unbelievable that shops can take your money for these things and not return either the cash or give you goods to there value. The shop assistant in Aberdeen did advise me to contact the Customer Services line, but low & behold no answer. The government needs to put a stop to this kind of thing.

Republic really are the lowest of the low. Over the years I've spend thousands with them. Recently, few weeks ago, I placed an order of £250 (which I've received) and last week an order of £105 (not received). They marked my £105 order as "dispatched" and even provided a tracking number - but never actually shipped the goods. They do this so that they can charge your card - knowing FULL WELL you will not receive the goods. As for my earlier £250 order (which I did receive) I have a couple of items to return (but I'll be damned if I do because I wouldn't trust them in a million years to refund me!) IMPORTANANT: If you paid by credit card they will refund you. Legally credit card companies HAVE TO to refund for orders between £100 and £30,0000 (however many credit card companies do cover you for lower value items too - so MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT THEM if you order was below £100.) If you paid by debit card.... good luck getting your money back.... However if they've traded illegally (like they have with me - charging my card - knowing I won't get my goods) then perhaps you should get on to Trading Standards (and make sure you let Republic know you are aware of their wrong doing) I've also hear that people are not allowed to use their gift vouchers in-store either - unbelievable! Here is the email for Repulsive, I mean Republics administration team (these are the only people who can deal with your request so try them, and if no luck contact your credit card company for a charge back): [email protected] I despise, I really do!!! Im writing as a very antagonised client to ask about my unused gift voucher that I received at Christmas. I think that it is absolutely ridiculous that you will not allow customers to spend their recently bought gift vouchers. You haven't give your customers enough notice to spend them,it's disgraceful. I am extremely upset with your poor customer service. Im sure you have many exasperated customers to deal with,but £50 is a extensive amount of money to just lose to you. Therefore, I would love you to consider,either returning me my money or letting me spend it in one of your stores. Please respond as soon as possible, thank you.

I ordered a item yesterday from republic before I knew it had gone into administration. The goods have not been delivered but the money taken from my account. I have no tracking reference or confirmation e-mail. What should I do now? I cannot find an e-mail address for customer service online, if anybody has one could they please post it.

Ordered a jumper on 18th jan & never received it. Have emailed customer service numerous times & eventually got a reply saying it was delivered on 23rd jan by courier and left as authorised! I never authorised anything to be left. Eventually phoned customer services who suggested I check if it had been left with a neighbour which I had already advised them in an email that I had done this. Now saying they will have to speak to the courier firm & ask them to investigate. They will not refund my money so have paid for something I've never received! Will not be buying from them again

Ordered a jacket 7 days ago, have been given an invalid tracking number emailed 3 times & they haven't got the decency to reply! Would not use this company again nor recommend them to friends.

Today i was trying to buy a few items from thew republic sale, i added about 5 to my basket and was just about to check out and pay when it crashed. I then though oh it will only last a few minutes...no it has lasted all day. Then when it finally did start working again none of my items were in my basket and i had to search around AGAIN for them. When i did finally find them they weren't in my size. What a load of utter rubbish!! Because of their stupid, rubbish website i have now wasted my time and they have missed out on my money.

The clothing itself is great, customer service, delivery and management is awful. Over a week and a half ago ordered £120 worth of stuff to the next day delivery, Republic claimed it was dispatched 7 days ago but still hasn't arrived, they won't reply to emails and will completely blank you.

How amazed was I when looking last minute for a gift for my partner to find that republic.co.uk offer free next day deliver if order is placed before 5pm and over £60. Too good to be true, well it turns out it is...... 17:30 on the day of delivery and after having spent all day at home waiting I finally decide to call them. "Sorry Sir your order is still in the warehouse due to a backlog of orders and will be with yo tomorrow", the only issue being no one is here to collect for the next 2 days and my partner goes away for Xmas before it will be delivered. OK can I cancel the order, no sorry Sir, OK can I choose a redelivery time, no sorry Sir, What can I do? Well I can wait for them to attempt delivery tomorrow, although I know I wont be in, then attempt to arrange a redelivery with them direct........ Yet another example of a large company taking the p@@# out of the customer, should have gone into town and done the shopping the old fashioned way... Avoid republic folks, totally useless.....

i baught a dress for my daughter,it wasnt to her taste so i sent it back she had not even tried the dress on only to be told by the snotty sales assistant at the white rose store that it had fake tan inside the dress so couldnt be returned,my daughter is allergic to parrabin which is found in most cosmetics and clearly the store had sold the dress n this condition to begin with,i got on the fone and got nothing but back chat of some slip of a girl,i said please look at what my daughter is wearing a genuine barbour coat,a genuine lipsy jacket and genuine ugg boots hardly thing i would waste our time coming bac with a nasty cheap £25 dress for no reason,told she could have a credit note but no refund exactly what policy are they useing,i now have customer services number dont hold much hope out there,my daughter was told tke ya credit note and get out of the shop before we call security she is 15 years old,republic you are a disgrace os a company,note to all check all clothing before you buy as this is what you will get,will never be buying from the store again,ive spent thousands in this store never again !!!

After their rubbish website let me down and ended up charging me for something through paypal that I never received, I began nagging the customer service department. Firstly, on their website it clearly states that they will reply to emails within 48 hours - good joke mate. Try a week and a half - and even then they don't attempt to answer your query properly. I then went through their customer service department by phone (by the way, call this number: 01133900900, as it is their geographical number and is a lot cheaper than the 0845 rubbish they give you), this also took me a very long time. All for an order that totalled to £9.99, thanks for wasting my time you absolute tosspots.

I recently went to this shop and thought it was a good size and had lots of nice clothes at good prices but one thing that lets it down badly is the customer service and the over all staff aswell. I bought some jeans which were faulty so i tried to return them and the manager and staff was not very polite at all. I would go to this shop again but the Staff i think were racist and the two fat bitc3s that work there one blonde and one brunette and the bald ba5tard aswell were very racist. Worst customer service i have seen in a very long time. The two fat bitch3s that work there on a saturday and the bald manager are racist and from blackburn aswell. I shouldve slapped the fatoo c0w on the spot but didnt want the hassle

I would never buy from this company again. The customer services team don't care at all and just want to get you off the phone. I placed an order on monday, I found out yesterday my order still hasn't been shipped, I asked when will my order be despatched and they couldn't tell me. It's now Friday and I've still not had an email saying my order has been shipped. I asked can I cancel my order but it has to be despatched first, even though it's still in there warehouse! I've never heard something more ridiculous in my life. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! I am so disappointed. I wanted those jeans and top for a christmas do and now I'm not even going to get my order or money back in time.

purchased a pair of jeans on 27th sept returned on oct 1st its is now nov 20th still no refund rang 5 times was told i would get the refund in 5 working days each time i rang and on the last occasion the staff were brutally rude espically lauren. this is now a matter with my bank helping me get my money.
do not order from this company is my best advice.

Ordered three items online and on check out it gave the option to leave a mobile number to get text when delivery was due. Great I thought...
Next morning text duly arrived stating delivery slot 12pm to 3pm. I waited until 3.30 ..no delivery..did school run then came home and card through door....rang couriers(Home Delivey Network) and explained. They said not time slots are given other then 7am to 7pm. In the end agreed on 10am to 3pm and 4pm to 7pm the next day. Then day of delivery another text from Republic stating 2nd delivery attempt 14.30 to 17.30.Now I'm confused which one is correct ? Delivery finaly arrived 3.45pm and spoke to driver who confirmed not time slots can be given for delivery and he had no knowlege of the time Republic had told me not the times I had arranged with Home Delivery Network. Emailed complaint to Republic and to date still waiting for a reply. Will not be giving either of them my custom in the future. Also has similar problem with Argos who use Home delivery Network.

I am severly disappointed with the service I received, I order a number of items from the website, and used a £5 voucher that you recived when spent over £40. Firstly the goods arrived, minus a cardigan then 2 days later a email followed saying out of stock, and I would be refunded. However, they added on a delievry charge even though I purposely spent enough to get free delivery. Then they had the cheek to take of a percentage of the £5 voucher even though the items I recived came to over £40 still. Very very poor service which has put me off ever shopping with them again. Useless at customer service too.
