“Surprisingly alright ! ”

Having read all the negative reviews I was very apprehensive about ordering online but I'm glad I took the risk . Initially my payment remained "pending" with no progress on the topshop website with my order for 3 days after placing it . My first phone call to cancel an order took me an hour to get through and this is not a free phone number either ( consider changing this topshop ! ) however the sales assistant was helpful the order got cancelled and I got my refund 3 days later . The remaining order eventually processed after 3 days pending and from there it was pretty quick got a shipped confirmation , the day after early morning it was delivered to store . This arrived one day earlier than estimated and pick up was easy peasy. All the items were the correct size and products and packaged well . My only gripe is their poor communication emails go unanswered , phone calls take ages to be picked up and their twitter takes a while to respond . If you really want something I say take the risk but be wary of some of these factors if you can buy it in store do so.

I am not a 'normal' Topshop shopper, being over 60. I had seena a skirt that I liked in Topshop in Menary's Tempest in Bangor Co Down but they didnot have my size. I went to Topshop in Victoria Square in Belfast and was served by a lady who went out of her way to locate the skirt for me. It was not sold in that branch but, thankfully, someone had returned one to Victoria Square and Rebecca L found it for me. She was such a pleasant girl and had a lovely way with her. I would return to that branch of Topshop in future. Very well done Rebecca L.

“Absolutely Disgusting customer Service”

I ordered a pair of boots online with a standard delivery. Not only have i not received the item yet, but when you go on to the website for Hermes the delivery company that they use, there isn't even a contact number to speak to a human being... I have spoke to the customer service dept after being put on hold for nearly 30mins.. finally spoke to someone to be told that she didn't know where my item was and that i could have a next day delivery if i pay another £50 and Topshop will refund my account in 10 days! I will never ever use this site again, And to be honest a customer service department should be more helpful and willing to HELP the customer rather than fobbing them off saying that someone will get back to them in 72 hours. Totally not good enough. I've spent £50 for a 'floating' item. Topshop you stink.

“Failed to refund an item never collected from store”

Despite trying to contact customer services for over 10 days I just keep recieving anautomated response to say they will respond to my query within 48 hrs. The have had my returned item (never collected) for over 8 weeks and have not refunded my account.

“Disgusting worn clothes badly packaged”

Received my parcel to discover my shorts had been carelessly rolled into a ball, disgustingly stretched and creased and had clearly been worn as the crotch area was stretched! There was also a huge line of thread that had came off and the tag had clearly been re stapled on as you could see the old holes.. DEFINITELY won't order online again! And I will be returning these hopefully as it looks like I have worn them now, thanks a lot topshop. So annoyed. However there was no problem with the top I ordered.

“Shocking Customer Service!”

after my parcel not being delivered to a store address i wanted to get in touch with topshop. the reply to my email was ' Thank you for your email received I apologise for the delay in responding to your concerns. We are currently receiving an unusually high volume of emails and very much appreciate your patience. Unfortunately I would not be able to discuss the order due to the Data Protection Act. I can advise that the person who is on the billing details will need to contact us. We will then be able to look into the matter further for you. I'm sorry that I couldn't assist you further at this time.' I am the person on the billing details . I called and was left on hold for over an hour which then cut out. I still do not know where my package is.

“My order is too late.”

“Appalling on line ordering”

For a second time I have been charged for home delivery when I had selected the free in store delivery. The system drops back to the chargeable delivery if you change any other details on your order without highlighting this to you. I wonder how much extra revenue they make from this sneaky little trick!

“Staff are pathetic”

Staff customer service is shocking. After working for a retail store I understand the pressures of being in retail but the staff in topshop stores in Glasgow are really bad. They have almost no people skills an have awful customer service. I love topshop and it's a shame that the store has such a bad name for its staff. It seem like if they are asked to do something it's a big deal that they have got to work! Phones are NEVER answered!!!! And there are never enough sizes. Clearly something is not working and when hiring, managers should be looking for someone with some sort of social ability rather than the idiot that are hired there due to a certain look. I would also like to point out this is an overall review and not just from one shopping interaction. I frequently shop in the store and I am amazed at the shocking service.

“Awful treatment from the Manager of Topshop Uxbridge”

I had bought a top from Topshop and had only worn it for a couple of hours. The material had freyed and there were pulls in the top. I returned the top to the UXBRIDGE Store, in the Chimes Shopping store, where a supervisor denied my request for a refund, even though I had my reciept and tag and the garment was faulty.I asked to speak to the Manager who approached my in a very hostile manner and refused to empathise with my point of view. She did not apologies on behalf of Topshop, or offer an alternative solution. She refused to compromise and was very unhelpful. I used to work at Topshop myself and know that high levels of customer service is crucial. I did not expect this response from a Manager, and after being a loyal customer for years I will now not be returning to that store.

“unfair recruitment”

My 16 year old daughter recently enquired about part time sales advisor opportunities at the Hanley Top Shop store in Stoke-on-Trent. She was politely but emphatically told that there were no jobs available or likely to become available. On enquiring about potential vaccancies as sales advisors go off to university she was told that the ones finishing university who have worked there previously come back and fill their shoes. We thought that this was rather strange, as this implies there are never any vaccancies for new comers. Two or three weeks later my daughter finds out that an aqaintance of hers who is the same age has just landed a job in the same Top Shop store. On directly asking her how she got the job it seems that her mother works at Top Shop and got her an application form which subsequently led to an interview and she now has a job. I thought there were recruitment laws to comply with 'equal opportunities' for job applications. It seems obvious to me that Top Shop or Top Shop staff blatently floughted these laws on this occassion and I would summise probably on numerous occassions.

“Stuck up staff”

I shop at your Whitehaven store in Cumbria and there is a member of your staff who I find very unprofessional, the way she is unprofessional is the fact she accused me of stealing when I was in fact BROWSING!!! I am completely disgusted at this and it has put me off even shopping there anymore, she makes you feel uncomfortable and like you shouldn't even be shopping there, the way she stands and stares and watches you is disgusting like she is looking down on you and it puts me off and makes me feel like I shouldn't be there! I would appreciate it if you could have a word with this woman to maybe grow up and remove herself from her own bottom. Thanks

“Bullrings bullying staff”

First of all i could not leave zero stars else i would, my young wife who has only just got the confidence to use a mobility scooter due to her disability with walking and myself went to the bullring for her birthday 12 April to return ( for the 3 rd time) a pair of suit trousers, she politely explained the situation for the umpteenth time and the nice girl then brought over another staff member, my wife AGAIN explained politely but used the word Co Ro A P in her conversation when the staff member who is very distinctive with his curled up moustache and attitude ripped into her with his monotone reverse psychology tricks told my wife she was threatening and abusive to him and he will not tolerate it. To everyone's surprise and shock at this outburst my wife was refused to tears at the humiliation dished out by this idiot. After speaking to a manager she gave us a £10 sorry gift card and took our details to inform us what action was taken. I can tell you NONE! We had to go home as my wife was so upset and her birthday and confidence destroyed as she said she felt like being on a mobility scooter was why he spoke down to her and tried to humiliate her. It would've been interesting if a six foot young lad like our son would have had the same treatment. Extremely discussing behaviour and bullying to the extreme .

“TopShop it is not! ... how do you complain”

Anyone know how to complain to Top shop on behalf of someone else? I am not registered with this Company and have no intentions of doing so but I wish to complain on behalf of a family member. The delivery service is so notoriously bad I am surprised they bother to still use them. An item has supposedly been delivered at our address today - outside a secure gate ????? really??? we live on a busy duel carriage way with heavy foot traffic.... guess what .. no parcel here. Fobbed off by the both Companies -- very very poor customer services. 72 hours to get back to us... I dont think so Top Shop. Help anyone?

“Topshop Deliveries; Appalling!!! ”

I placed an order a week ago, it said dispatched a few days later, everything seemed to be going forward as it usually would. Today I received an email saying your refund has been processed, I didn't understand this as I was told approximate delivery would be latest today and without receiving any of my items I definitely did not request to refund them. I rang customer service immediately, regardless of the fact the phone had quite clearly been answered by the computer as all I could hear was girls having a chat in the background, I was greeted by a lazy sounding girl and I immediately guessed the direction of the conversation. They told me that there was a warehouse problem so the package was not sent out and automatically refunded. If I wanted to order something I had to place a whole new order. I then asked if the items that I had ordered were even still available to which her response was no. So Topshop told me my order was dispatched with an estimated delivery date, charged my credit card, never attempted to deliver the package and then sent me out an email telling me they had refunded the order without any information why. I am so angry!!! I can't order anything I had ordered because it is all now sold out and they just said there's nothing we can do. I told them I want to speak to a manager and they refused and when I asked what was the problem at the warehouse they responded 'I don't know I don't work in the warehouse' What can you do from here!? So so angry, one of the items was a dress for an event I'm supposed to be going to this week and it's even sold out in stores!!

“Awful delivery service ..”

Please save yourself the hastle of topshop delivery and just buy from the shop. They stated on the website that the standard delivery was 5 days to international customers. I've been waiting 3 weeks for my order and whenever I have called they hav left me on hold for more than 10 minutes. The staff are extremely unhelpful and have no idea what's going on regarding delivery and dispatching items. I was appalled by the low standards from such a big company. Sort it out topshop.
