I recently had a burglary which was really stressful as the burglar took many things including gold jewellery that was given to me by my father who died last year of cancer. We haven't had to claim in 7 years we have had insurance but unfortunately we had to make our first claim! I was very apprehensive after reading the negative reviews on UIA insurance. Our claim was dealt very quickly and efficiently. The staff were polite and very helpful

I have been very surprised to see negative reviews on this site - they are all wrong! No doubt people who havent bothered to chceck if they were covered before making a claim. I have used many insurance companies over the years - UIA are undoubtedly the best. Not only do they offer a very decent price, but the customer service is second to none. Staff are polite and courteous at all times. I had reason to make a cliam recently when watre leaked through my kitchen ceiling. Within a couple of days they arranged for a surveyor to copme out and assess the damage, and only a week after that we had a team round to start fixing the issue. Quick, efficient, startlingly polite, inexpensive - what more could you ask for!

Very happy with UIA. Been with them for 5 years, and claimed once a few years ago after a break in. Every thing was dealt with really well and quickly. Price is good each year and customer service is always great They come with my recommendation!

I switched my home insurance to UIA nearly three years ago now and am really glad I did. I find the premiums very competitive... my premium actually went down this year - only by about a pound, but still! And on the odd occasion I've needed to contact them they've been really helpful - it's usually when my mortgage company wants proof that the property's fully insured. I happily recommend UIA to friends and family... in fact my 'in-laws' and a couple of friends are now UIA policyholders too.

As a member of Unite I got a very good deal on my policy (they offer great deals to union members). Made one claim, staff where helpful & professional. Would recommend.

Excellent customer service always. My claim was handled efficiently and the staff were pleasent to deal with.
