Can't believe this shop has been given negative comments. I have just purchased my dream dress from them at short notice and they have gone out of there way to accommodate me. Mirror Mirror was recommended to me by a friend which was very reassuring. I had little idea of what I was looking for but remember it to be one of the most exciting days of my life! We were met by such warm and helpful staff, full of ideas and full of enthusiasm! the dress was staring straight at me, I knew immediatley that I had gone to the right place! Being an expatriate living overseas, I didnt think it would be at all easy to arrange fittings and adjustments around my schedule. I could'nt fault a thing! Mirror Mirror made me feel like a princess, my dress was absolutely stunning! My advice, if you are looking for the perfect dress and stress free experience,visit Mirror Mirror, Angel branch.

Mirror Mirror offers a fantastic service. I chose one of their beautiful couture dresses, so the whole thing was made for me. The advice that I received when first choosing a dress was great- really helpful and not at all pushy. Then when I'd decided on the dress, there was a series of fittings with the designer, making sure that everything was going to be just perfect...and it was! Everyone was wowed by the dress, including me and my husband! Beautiful dresses, fantastic service...what more could you ask for?

The work the ladies at Mirror Mirror did in changing my Pronovias dress into a bespoke work of art was simply amazing. I can't thank them enough for the time and energy put into it - and my advice to other brides is the trust in what they are saying! Natasha was honest and inspiring with her suggestions at my first visit and I can thoroughly recommend them.

The ladies at Mirror Mirror in Angel are incredibly lovely, helpful and experienced, professional and everything you could possibly want and need in a wedding dress shop. I had probably been to at least a dozen wedding dress shops before I found them (book an appointment well in advance as they're a a popular place!). They were so friendly (Tasha seemed more excited about me finding my perfect dress than I did!) and really tuned in to the kind of thing I was looking for and that would suit me. I was also quite late with everything and they were very patient and just made things work and made me feel like nothing was a problem. Their selection is big, not massive BUT bear in mind it's been chosen by experts that have exceptional taste so it really didn't matter - who wants to filter through hundreds of average/uninspiring dresses when someone has done it all for you.... In the end I actually had a lot of trouble deciding between 3 of them. They also do bespoke dresses so really, in that sense, their selection is infinite! Also don't miss the chance to visit both of their branches. The dress I chose in the end (Dietrich by Pronovias) I actually first saw in their Crouch End branch. They carry different ranges so do visit both. The lady that owns Crouch End is equally lovely and helpful! Once I'd chosen my dress, that's actually when I really understood how good this shop was. Then I met Maria! Maria is one of the dressmakers there and she is AMAZING. I wanted some alterations to my dress (I had sleeves put on, the back dropped, etc etc) and Maria did a perfect job and ended up creating changes to the dress beyond what I could have instructed her. She's extremely talented and I could not imagine anyone being in better hands than hers for alterations. Everything she did ended up looking like it was 100% part of the original dress - impressive. In summary, Mirror Mirror is a fantastic shop and my experience was wonderful. I hope you have a similar one!

When I first went to Mirror Mirror I was looking for an A-line dress because I thought that this would be the most flattering style for my figure. Luckily I had Natasha helping me with dresses and she took one look at me and told me that she had something else for me to try on instead of what I thought I was looking for. Initially I was a bit taken aback by this but it was the best thing for me. What do I know?! I don't see wedding dresses everyday and clearly don't know what suits me (I rarely wear dresses). I would have liked lace but trying on lace dresses proved that this was awful on me. I did think a 50s style dress would've suited and been easy to wear again after the wedding, once dyed another colour, but fun though they were when I tried them on I could get that style elsewhere (Vivien of Holloway for example). Natasha let me and my friends pick out dresses for me to try and she also kept back her choices till the end. It was clear from the few I tried that I'd picked out that I needed help! The dress that Natasha had picked out for me didn't look like it would fit and being satin looked like it would hang in all the wrong places. BUT when I put it on it amazingly fit (very well) and made me look like a 40s hollywood star. I loved the dress and went back with my parents to try it again and by that point I was sold on getting it. I would highly recommend going to the Angel branch and listening to what the staff have to say, they do see all different types of women trying on dresses day in day out and can offer subjective advice. It's best not to have an idea of what kind of dress you want when you first try them on because otherwise you can become fixated on a dress that actually doesn't flatter you. I did go back a 3rd time to try dresses from the new collections' dresses just to be sure and ended up with someone who wasn't Natasha and the experience wasn't as great and if she'd been there the first time I'd gone I probably wouldn't have gone back. The dress was great value for money and the fittings were great. The seamstress did a fantastic job of adjusting the dress and I was really happy with the service all round. The only issue I had was that fittings have to be on a week day and I had to use up precious holiday for this rather than being able to go at the weekend. They also offer a cleaning service following the wedding and I am seriously considering using it but can't say how good it is right now.

From start to finish the service I received at Mirror Mirror Angel was brilliant. They made me feel relaxed from the start and were helpful and friendly in their suggestions of dresses. I never felt rushed and the team were brilliantly creative about modify my dress. The alterations were top quality (Maria - very talented and also fabulously patient and calm) and my dress looked amazing on the day - lots of people thought it had been made for me and were really surprised to hear that it wasn't! The shop were also really helpful with advice about shoes and in recommending Andrea for hair and make up (she is the best!). The only thing that you need to know (which the shop tell you up front) is that fittings can't be done on the weekends so you have to be able to go during the week. When I originally started looking for a wedding dress I went to Mirror Mirror in Angel with a friend and had a wonderful session trying on lovely dresses. My helper from the shop, Becca, let me and my friend choose the dresses we wanted to try and then she suggested some that she thought would suit me. I had such fun trying on the dresses and genuinely felt that Becca was excited for me and trying to help me find the best dress. It turned out that the first dress I tried was the one I bought. It was slightly different than the usual being a skirt, bodice and jacket in blush colour. Before our wedding we had a wonderful surprise finding we were going to have a baby and wedding plans were put on the back burner. Our little girl has arrived and our wedding is set for Jan, 5 months after her arrival. As you can imagine my body shape has changed a lot and as I am breastfeeding my boobs are enormous! The skirt and bodice no longer fitted but after my first fitting at Mirror Mirror with Andrea I wS confident that the dress was going to be transformed and would look lovely. Andrea had some creative ideas to take a little material of the train and add a panel to the skirt and to make the bodice bigger and give me some modesty over the cleavage. I have been in a couple of times and seen my dress transformed and after my last fitting today I think the dress looks nicer than when I first tried it on. All of the staff at Mirror Mirror have been lovely especially Becky, Andrea and Maria. I would recommend any bride looking for a wedding dress went to Mirror Mirror.

Please take time to read this if you are thinking of buying a dress or wanting to know about the service I received from Mirror Mirror (Angel). I first went to MM in April 2011 and am getting married in December 2011. I tried on a variety of dresses – their selection was really good and I think would please most brides but it's key to remember that MM is a boutique store. This means they aren't a major store and therefore don't have thousands of dresses. But with a boutique store and this one in particular comes expertise and a one-to-one service that you wouldn’t get from a big store. Also, you sometimes have to share the dressing room – from all the wedding dress shops I did, this was a common occurrence. I'd recommend you embrace it instead of having issues with sharing the space. If you are the bridezilla type (I didn't think I was but have found that I have tendencies like I'm sure a few of you have too!) and want them to be at your beck and call and fall at your feet, then please consider this: they are a business and they are experts in their field – once I realised this, I was much more accepting of them. When I went back for a second viewing of the dress I thought I wanted, they made me feel really special but I still thought they were way overpriced. I looked around and actually found that they were bang on price-wise with other shops that were selling the dress. The alterations package may have been slightly more expensive but this money is so unbelievably worth it (see next paragraphs for more details). I got a girl called Andrea who did my fittings and she was beyond amazing. She knows anything and everything about weddings – from attire to hair styles to jewellery to fake tan to catering. This girl is an encyclopaedia of invaluable knowledge that you won't find on any blog or wedding mag. She is also totally straight-down-the-line and honest. But most importantly, she is lovely and makes you feel completely at ease. She made my experience at MM a really memorable one. When I went for my second fitting, I felt ill half way through. I have been sick for a lot of the year and with a little stress (like packed tubes and running late), I started to feel faint and thought I was going to vomit - just what you want when you have a wedding dress on! Andrea got the dress off me within seconds and made me take my time until I felt better. She then asked me to stay there for an hour until I felt a lot better. There aren't many bridal shops that would have taken care of me like this I don't think. This is the kind of exceptional service you get from Andrea and I can't recommend her highly enough. I brought my wedding dress home today and I couldn't be happier with it, the work that's been done to it and the service I received. Below are some pros and cons for those of you that don't want to read the above. I really hope this helps you and if you do visit MM, enjoy every minute of it. Karola Pros: - Andrea - They know what they are talking about and know what will work for you and what won't. If you know what you want, that is great but I'd listen to them as you never know what they may pick out for you. Remember, they are the experts and know more about wedding dresses than you do – you know you and they will listen to that but they have good ideas that are worth considering. - Reasonable. I did at least ten shops and they were in line with other shops in terms of price. - They are a boutique service – please remember that (this comes with pros and cons, but in the end I found this 9 times out of 10 to be a pro) Cons: - A bit scrappy at times with their organisation but it is a family run business not a big department store - Bad reviews from others – these nearly turned me off buying from MM. I'm really glad I didn't listen to those reviews. - They didn't give me a receipt when I paid but then again I never asked. But when I did ask they sent it to me by email.

i bought my Gemy wedding dress from Mirro Mirror Angel and was so impressed with the service I received from my very first appointment. I wasn't sure what sort of dress I wanted other than a very rough idea of what I didn't like and based on a few questions my fitter picked out a selection of different dresses, two of which I fell in love with. I faced no pressure at all to make a decision straight away but was encouraged to go away think, come back, try them on again and again until I could decide which of them I was happy with. With tha patience of a saint my fitter asked really helpful questions to try to steer me towards thinking which dress was more right for me, the type of wedding I was having etc. I am so happy with the dress I ended up with and really appreciated being given this time to decide. When I came back for further fittings the service was again fantastic as they suggested ways I could acesorise the dress, tweaked and amended it until it fitted like a glove and with extra sparkle details and built in bra support! Every time I came in I felt totally at ease and the staff were all incredibly friendly and knowledgable.
