Don't Overstay Your Parking
I accidentally fell asleep in the car park during a long journey from Scotland to England.
I was there just short of 3 hours and sent an invoice for £100.00 with the option of paying £60 plus a £1.50 admin charge.
On the way out of the services, I filled my fuel tank at a cost of £110.00.
In future, I will not be using Sandbach services or for that matter any other Roadchef services around the country

Worst Services Uk
Like a lot of roadchefs services these were very out of date and needed a major clean, I work away all week as a driver and regularly stop in services up and down the country and I voted this myself the worst services in the uk, they take £20 + from you to park overnight and then can t even provide you with a shower, southbound broken so walked over to the northbound, stood there for 5 mins debating wether to just forget it, would have to be desperate to ever go there again

On Our Long Journey To Glasgow We Had Intended To
On our long journey to Glasgow we had intended to travel to Tebay for our evening meal but traffic conditions meant we had to pull into Sandbach Services - what a sorry mistake this was.
The site that greeted us was not great after our experiences of 'Killington Lake' and 'Tebay' Services. 70's style canteen tables and chairs and a cheery child's ride on toy that burbled away every few minutes. One member of staff running between the food counter and till. Oh and also expected to clean tables - I worried as to where she would hold a broom should she also need to clear up the floor. The 'Ham, eggs and chips' turned out to be two slices of cold processed ham with two hot eggs and hot chips placed on top - so healthy looking NOT! The chips were adequate and the eggs surprisingly [given their appearance] cooked just right. My wife's Scampi and Chips however was very poor indeed. The 'scampi' had a shell of breadcrumbs which once broken into yielded some small pieces of 'scampi' that were hardly appetising. The highlight was the coffee which was very good for such a place.
I have no complaints abotu the staff they do the best with what they are given.
All in all an experience which will haunt us for some time.
