Zanussi ZJD12191

We needed a built-in washer/dryer for our flat and the Zanussi ZJD 12191 was recommended by the kitchen supplier. It works OK, but it was expensive. You need to clean out the wash filter regularly - OK that is not too much of a chore, just need to remember to do it, otherwise you finish up with a load of wet washing. However, a weak point seems to be the drive belt for the dryer blower. I was amazed to see that this looks like nothing more than a long rubber band!

We have had the machine for 3-1/2 years now; the first belt gave up technically after expiry of the 12 month guarantee, but when we explained that we hadn't started using the machine until 2 months later (when we moved into the flat) the repairman replaced it without charge. He came reasonably quickly too, so I have to rate the (Hotpoint/Zanussi) service as Good. A couple of years later the belt has gone again and I have just ordered a replacement to fit myself, 'cos this looks easy.

So, I couldn't recommend this machine to a friend!

Bought this machine in october 2008, all fine until 2 weeks after guarantee expired then machine just stopped working!! beware and make sure you get an extended warranty

I have had my Zanussi ZJD12191 machine for twelve months and I have had no problems with it at all. Just a little too noisey. Over all, I have no problems with this machine

buying this expensive Zanussi ZJD12191 led me to believe I was going to have no trouble with it. clothes stay wet.black scum appears at door rubber,foul smelling.clothes smell if left for any period after the wash. Big mistake,buyer beware!
