Dimplex DAN20BL Danesbury

I purchased the heater last fall and installed in my bedroom. I have had good results with it staying much warmer than before it was installed. Make sure to read the directions thoroughly before installation. There were parts that were confusing. The heater adds additional value to my remodel plan. Especially during this wild winter.

Looking for an Electric fire to fit into existing fireplaceas exsisting gas fire needed taking out.After looking at several models at various locations we settled on the Danesbury.Price played a significant part as Your price delivered was over £100 cheaper than all showrooms we visited and nearly the cheapest we could find online.Recieved the fire after a couple of days as promised with an E MaIl from courier letting me know which day.The fire is as expected ,delivered in good condition and does the job perfectly.Easy to to unpack with minimal assembly and is now in pride of place doing the job nicely.

Delivery was fast but cost me LBP20.00 and many other suppliers offer free postage. The Carrier was The Post Office so the item did not pose any particular problem to the carrier. I preferred to order with you because of the number of good reviews you displayed as having received and hoped this would prove to be a good recommendation.

I ordered on line Dimplex fire ref: DAN20AB and still have the data to prove it. I believe you sent me Dimplex fire ref: DAN20BL. I queried why no log effect feature was included in the package in addition to the coal effect and was told by Sarah Faulkner that this model did not include the log effect despite the brochures and the showroom item clearly stating that it did. Did you supply me with a different model to the one ordered?

Additionally, as I live in the Channel Islands, goods your firm sells to me are Zero Rated in regards to VAT. Namely, YOU do not need to pay VAT to the UK Government on ANY goods you sell to the Channel Islands. Some suppliers choose to refund to their customers the VAT that they have saved. Some do not, that is purely the suppliers choice, which I accept. However, you should take into account that as the Channel Islands are not part of the UK, our own government imposes purchase taxes on us, so in effect we are paying two lots of taxes on goods purchased from the UK. Also, the Channel Islands have fared reasonably well in the current recession and we have enhanced purchasing power and should be a good market for you as on-Island suppliers carry a very small range.

If you are regularly supplying goods to the Channel Islands and are submitting the VAT on those goods to the British Government, you are diminishing your profits needlessly. I suggest you consult your auditors on this matter.

I believe the information supplied to me by Sarah Faulkner was not correct - at the best misleading and at the worst untrue. I cannot recommend your service to others on this basis.
