I joined ukcb as it was a student chat someone had shared a link with me on my course and it was great, I loved it and met many wonderful people on there. A couple I met in real life and I have some lush memories, especially meeting sk8erboy (gorgeous guy and personality) and some others, but meeting poptones was a decision that I wished I didn’t make. He was nice for five mins and at first so nervous I felt sorry for him (until booze chugging started). I couldn’t quite make out what was going on back then… but he turned out to be a completely false person in real life, quite a nasty misogynistic guy with really abusive things to say and unfortunately do. I was warned about many a time by different users, but I did not listen and still went ahead to meet him. He had multiple personality accounts on the site, and used them to gain information that he thought he couldn’t get as ‘poptones’. If anyone is out there and was hurt by this man, I am posting this info strictly so that you know that you are not alone. Moderators we’re always very good and there were some highly funny times on the forums on nights when I couldn’t afford to go out as a student, all the girls lady genie ambercat leejun junny and many more were a laugh and a half. I was studying towards my later in life goal of being a therapist, and sometimes used skills that I was learning with people on the chat when they were having hard times, I do hope that everybody is doing well. UKCB was great, it was a lawyer spot before social media that I am glad that I caught because it was a lot of fun. To all I knew at UKCB, wishing you the best of absolutely everything in life. Look after yourselves.

In all honesty I always expected UKCB to be resurrected, it had a large following and could have been a commercial goldmine.. or maybe tin mine with advertising revenue. It needed more prawn (think about it), especially involving sheep for the welsh, martian prawn (hmmm) for the Scotts and maybe an undertaker for those who just sat in the online list and never posted. Better still they could have had a sales forum for Filipino brides that could also offer short term leases for the over 65s. But no... it went away.. like Woolworths, the other entity that failed to sell women to perverts.. Over 65s are rich, Filipino girls are 3 for a fiver... Just no vision.. Cheerio..

I think it is fair to say that UKChatterbox has gone for good. The main guy who owned it lost interest years ago and was mostly busy with other things. OK the team could solve small problems but not big ones. The team of staff were dedicated volunteers and the majority of them tried their very best to make it a nice place to be. The forums were great, the chat rooms were a nightmare, but we tried. Then one day an oiky and malcontented geek used his secret powers to try and destroy the site. Against the odds he succeeded. He is now in prison. I am Dragon.

UKChatterbox is the best chat website there is, I've been a member on and off over the years, and there is no other website that can beat UKChatterbox for the friendly and helpful staff, the ease of navigation, and there are plenty of friendly members there too :) Da Guru who seems to know a lot of UKCB's history is obviously a jealous chat website owner or a friend of a website owner who wants people to join his website, bad luck, people prefer UKChatterbox and always will lol! So if anyone out there is looking for a good and longstanding chat website and a long list of chat rooms....UKChatterbox is the place to be :) It gets 5 stars from me. Ladygenie.

There are alot of arrogant argumentative people who look down on the lesser educated chat users- I'd liken it to bullying -the moderators do nothing about this, ukchatterbox is a free site for whoever including educated ,uneducated, all races, all religeons and all walks of life. The few regulars seem to pick out a chosen few and gang up and stick together and "bully" the newcommer without any warnings or punishment from the mods. the mods do a very bad job.

what is happening with ukcb, it doesnt seem to work , can anyone advice me or write the information please

as a ukchatterbox chatter i find that as its an adult aged based chatroom we are treated like school kids we cant have jovial chat on anything even late at night as for the so called administrator of these room named jackal i find him to be biast and over using his power claiming we have no rights to have a laugh or able to state out complaints if we have any and think laws even for chatroom should be changed lightened up a bit he wont even reply to e,mails and at 31 from southwest london to me a moderator/administrator should be more mature my name in chat is TALKIE ok i used a new name after my first 24hr ban only for a laugh i was not cheeky or abusive

I've been using www.ukchatterbox.co.uk for 7 years and have had a roller coaster ride in there. Have meet a few people in there and had many good nights out and hopefully many more to come also met my partner in there and we now have two kids and wedding planned for this year. Have had a few mishaps in there with some but genarally as sites go i would say this one rocks they have a great parents room were u can discuss topics with other mums and dads i found this very usefull and have had many good advice from people in there and also given good advice to young parents over all i would say that this is a high quality chat room keep up the good work folks all the besst to all the staff chatters and admin for 2009. Well done everyone for all the hard work sites getting stronger and stronger by the day heres to another 7 years
