Its been closed for a long time, that being the case I've have real difficulty reaching recent posts, I miss recent posts, it was my favorite link then it was my mail box, which was generally full of smut from the other users. Give me my mail box back, and recent posts, I need some posts, I'm building a fence. Perhaps all the Admin and moderators are in prison for embezzling all the posts, I was a mod.

i really liked ukcb , was easy to navigate , not like the ones i've been on lately ! such as buzzen , chat talk and the like ... i for one cant wait till its up and running again , ive being a member on and off for around 7 years and have had no trouble at all, no bans maybe a couple of warnings ;) but very friendly people most of the time and if you have a problem the mods are very helpful for the most part .... come back soon uk chatterbox :)

I have been using a few chatsites over the years and this is one of the better ones (I also wrote a negative review on noesis chat so you can chat that as well). Well UKchatterbox is better than a few others I had an opportunity to use, first of all there is one big reason for it: it is full of people! and that says something. There are a lot of various rooms though it could be improved. There are rooms for everyone s taste, but for instance interest room choice could be a bit expanded and city choice could be narrowed down. I mean not every city needs to have their own chat room and then you have 10 people in it, I think regions would be sufficient...that is just an idea. But rooms such as Goth room, Christian room, Music room, Paranormal room, Biker s room are an interesting choice of interest rooms for sure. Some others though have no much meaning, such as Lagoon room etc. There are quiz chat rooms that have quiz going on all the time which is very nice for people who like that. Now, a lot of complaints in the reviews on this chat are about the moderators. Almost everyone complains about them lol, and they are right. I can understand it is a tough task as they receive abuse from chatters all the time, but they just dont do it well enough. They do not seem to care to find out who s causing trouble but immediately kick or ban the person who has been reported by most probably someone who deserves a ban themselves. That is a very typical behavior for mods. Of course there will always be someone who is not satisfied with how mods treat the chatters. We should of course be grateful that there are people who want to put some time aside to help moderate these rooms and not being paid for it, but they should do it with more heart. Freedom of speech in these rooms is minimum and mods do not seem to be very educated folks as the spelling of some of them is bad and they do not seem to differ someone who is joking from someone who is disturbing the room etc, they dont care for fine nuances and yet at the same time very crude and rude people seem to have a special treatment and are allowed to speak as they wish and are used to. Etc etc, rules could be clearer and simpler, and of course a lot of improvement could be make in all areas, but I d say this is one of better chat rooms and it has a great forum as well, very lively and includes various topics. Overall rating is 4 out of 5.

UK Chatterbox is very good. Always seems to be lots of folk in when I go on and none of them take things too seriously.

I've been using UKChatterbox for many years now.

Its interface & simple features, although a little dated, are a definite plus point. The menus are well laid out, the colour scheme is easy on the eye and the features are pretty straightforward to use.

There's a good selection of chat rooms available, most of which have moderators or administrators in them at peak times.

In my experience the members are generally friendly and good humoured. As with all chat sites there are the occasional undesirables but they're usually removed from the service fairly quickly.

The staff are approachable, helpful & professional thanks to the good training programs that are in place. As a result of this, abuse is rare and the atmosphere in the rooms and on the website is nearly always positive.

There's also a good system in place for members to report any abuse if, on the rare occasion, a staff member isn't in the room when it happens.

Overall UKChatterbox a is a very good chat site which might explain why it regularly attracts1900+ members every night.

As a whole this site is good, there are many nice people on this chat, however it is those who attempt to start pathetic arguments over nothing which disadvantages the chat.
There are also soon rooms e.g. gay. lesbian, bi rooms which are 18+ which i feel isn't needed as there is no age limit on your sexuality and the site mods probably think that they will be immature about it, but this shouldn't be a problem if they mod the rooms correctly and ban the people who are using the rooms inappropriately.

But as a whole there are some lovely people on there who are friendly and have some good opinions, luckily you can use ignore on those who constantly cause trouble and arguments so they wont ruin your enjoyment of the chat.
But with mods and admin being there this should prevent such behavior happening, sometimes you will need to pm the mods yourself as they don't act quick enough, but if you pm them they often ban a user immediately.

Overall a good site with some lovely people on it.

As a whole I cant complain as Ive been on there for 3 years now (deprived of a life) but Ive met alot of good people of there and had many good nights out on the town as well as house parties. Oh and the chat site is ok too. I recommend UK Chatterbox.co.uk!

Having used UKChatterbox for a good number of years as both a chatter and member of staff I can't recommend this site enough.

The chatters who come from pretty much every corner of the globe are generally friendly and most are up for a laugh. :o)

There's plenty of rooms on chat so whether you've got an interest you want to share with like minded people or just have a general chit chat there's a place for you. I'm sure you'll feel right at home in no time.
