Hannspree JT0237E1

When i brought this TV i loved the picture quality it was amazing. But soon after purchase I had TV stations going completely black also sound very poor quality but as we had surround sound it really did not matter. Then came when you turned off the TV it would turn its backlight on in the middle of the night, as this was a bedroom TV it was very annoying and would have to be plugged out from main power source. The screen is obviously very delicate as when we had turn on the TV it had a black line going down it and there were no marks on the screen. I phoned up hannsg repairtech and they point blank refuse to repair it and now I have 40” worthless piece of junk on my wall worth £450 and did i say it is only one year old. DO NOT BY THIS TV buy something of a good brand like lg, jvc and samsung.

What can I say, truly awful products! They come with a two year warranty which seems like a bonus. Trouble is, you'll need it because the quality is so poor. I purchased a 37" Hannspree in April 2008, by October 2009 (1year 6 months) the picture had gone completely (black screen). They use a UK company called Repairtech to complete warranty repairs who managed to damage my tv in transit then tell me they never had the part to fix the fault. Not only that, they didn't know where or when they could get the part. So after many weeks of calls to Germany and Holland they eventually sent me an upgraded replacement. Happy days, I thought! well today, 11 months down the line the upgraded replacement has packed in with the same problem as the last one. so, in two years and five months both tv's have ceased to work but now, convieniently, I'm out of warranty. Hannspree TV's are utter rubbish, a truly abismal set of products and a worthless warranty as they have stopped manufacturing a lot of their tv's. Please do not buy, it'll only cause you frustration and anger.

I am not writing a review on this particular model, but having owned 2 Hannspree TVs for 2 years, I would like to warn you to beware the brand. My TVs were fine while they worked, but the 37" one just out of warranty sometimes hisses and spits and turns itself off. I doubt it will survive much longer. While it was just inside the warranty I asked for them to repair it, it was gone for weeks. Then within a week or two of its return the problem reasserted itself; they now say they hadn't found any fault, had done no repair, and now it is outside the warranty they wash their hands of it, even though I sent a video of it off and crackling.

The second TV, a 32" LCD, is beginning to get a bad connection where the power cord enters the TV.

If you buy have a 2 year timeframe in mind.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Cheep chinese SH!t. Would never own or recomend any of their products. Brands include Hannspree, Hanns-G and iInc. Do yourself and others justice stay away from purchasing any of their products. Can't believe they are still in business.

The Hannspree JT0237E1 is such a quality product. I got this for £350 and it was the bargain of the century.

I bought the Hannspree JT0237E1 TV at the weekend without looking into tvs that much but when plugged in I could not believe the really poor picture anything that moved tuned into blocks. Im gutted about this I can not believe this day and age that such poor quality is allowed. I watched for about 5 mins on bbc2 and put it straight back in the box.

The Hannspree JT0237E1 is a good price tv better than any in Argos ect for the price(ie double the connectivity and contrast ratio)make sure you buy this model though my brother has another and this one is leaps ahead of it.

Fantastic Quality for the price, better than other lcd tv's I have seen at double the price.

Wouldn't think twice about buying this tv, take the chance for this price you wont go wrong!..

I Received delivery of this Hannspree LCD TV very quickly. It was easy to set up but then I saw the picture, it was very poor. I contacted Hanspree about the picture quality who arranged for the item to be taken to their engineers. After many phone calls I managed to get a replacement TV which I have to say is really no better as far as the picture quality goes. It is very pixelated and takes a fraction of a second to refocus when the picture pans around. I am no TV guru but I know a bad TV picture when I see one. I recommend you steer well clear of the Hanspree range and though they are cheap, I'd spend a bit more the next time. Hanspree tech team very rarely reply to my emails, and I have to keep chasing them up via phone on an 0845 number which I am sure will add up in cost. I look forward to my phone bill (not!). I have never wrote a review before, but I'm so disgusted, that here is my first.

Have to say I looked at this for a while and tried to find some reviews but couldn't find any... Hannspree I feel will be huge in the UK as they are in the States - value for money is great - £449 including VAT and two year warranty... really, what more could you ask, Fabulous looking TV with lots of features - Image and sound are also great, the sound is a little tinny but who listens to the TV without surround sound... but I am more than happy. Given the money a feel like I have a true bargain - which in today's world is very very hard to come by. You wont be disappointed with it
