DO NOT BUY FROM Sofa.com!! Ordered 5 months ago and still no sofa! First one got lost when they changed warehouses so reordered but still not got a sofa! I thought they were manufacturing me another one but obviously they didn’t and were hoping to locate original one! No apology from the company. Despite constantly contacting customer services only actually managed to speak to an actual person once who guaranteed would call me back but guess what they didn’t. Requested a refund but no response so drove 60 mile round trip back to store to get money back. Staff didn’t care and said not their fault! Read reviews on Trust pilot. They are a sham of a company. Had my money since July now back at the start looking for another sofa.

“why no sofa and no customer service? ”

I have waited 5 months for my Larson sofa from sofa.com..and it has not yet arrived and no word from them about a delivery date.. i have emailed them nearly twenty times and no response from them.. I have spent hours waiting on their customer service phone line and eventually (after 60 mins) left messages.. still no reply.. I have tried everything and they have £1500 of my money paid for this sofa.. what can I do.. don't buy anything from sofa. com.. their customer service is non existent..

“Can’t get through to anyone”

Sofa.com are not taking telephone calls and promise To respond to emails within 2-3days. It’s been 7days and 2 emails and still no response. After sales is shocking Have they gone bust?

“Awful service, once they've taken your money...”

I originally placed my order in February, in the Chelsea store, for a Florentine bed and Lulworth mattress. Staff in the shop are very friendly and helpful, unfortunately it's all downhill once they've taken your money... We had 4 delivery dates rearranged. No weekend slots are ever available. Ultimately when we took time off work for a morning delivery time (today), the bed turned up, but the delivery guys (3 of them) refused to carry beyond the 3rd floor - we're on the 4th. We made it clear when ordering that we were on 4th. When told we would need to provide people to help with the final floor, we agreed, but would only be able to do this on a weekend. As no weekend slots available at all for the foreseeable future, a 4th floor delivery was finally agreed by Sofa.com. We showed this email to the delivery men this morning (and offered to help), but they refused, and have driven off with our bed. Tried to call Sofa.com this morning while this was happening, but no answer! Also no response to various emails. Now we've paid the full amount and have no idea if we will ever receive what we've paid for! Now they have our money there seems to be no interest providing the product, let alone customer service. I have never experienced such awful service. I would strongly advise against using Sofa.com ever.

“Terrible”

The sale was perfect, the website was perfect, the delivery was perfect. Our sofa is nearing 3 years of age and used by 2 adults who treat it with great care. Still, the frame needs repair already. I contacted sofa.com under the 10 yr warranty for the frame. They were quick to send a sub-contractor out to take a look. Sadly the fault was worse after his visit. A new call-out was scheduled but cancelled on the day of the appointment, some 2 hrs after they were due. A new appointment was offered in 2 weeks time, which means 2 more weeks without a sofa, a third day annual leave in order to be at home and who knows if they will show up or are able to darry out the repair? I never had any of this with Multiyork or Colins & Hayes. Invest a little more and save yourself a lot of trouble. The quality seems sub-standard. Worse than Ikea.

“Failed Christmas delivery......”

I spent over £4k on sofas and was promised a pre Christmas delivery...I had to chase sofa.com and would not have known my sofas were not coming if I hadn't. Unfortunately they are great at sales point, but terrible when there is a service failure. To add insult to injury they offered me initially 2 scatter cushions to compensate! and after further complaining a further insult of £150...instead of the scatter cushions! They didn't quite get it when I tried to explain that scatter cushions was not going to fix the situation... We have had to cancel Christmas at our house as I have nowhere to sit my aging mother and father in-law. We have also cancelled our order! I recommend they seriously need to look at their service failure process. We are heading back to John Lewis.... Unfortunately for us their demand is high so they don't need to react. I definitely felt like a number rather than a person...

“No customer service!”

Bought several pieces at NYC store, only a year later and store closed and can't get anyone to help me with my "fabric warranty" that I purchased to ensure my purchase for 5 years. Attempted contacting them 3 times!!!! Not so much as a one word response. Nothing. Expensive merchandise with no customer service backing, showing little care for anyone that tried to support them in the U.S.

“Smelly uncomfortable couch”

The couch has always had a weird, unpleasant smell. Also, the cushions are not comfortable. We bought it without sitting on it-- never again. We were duped by tasteful ads in Washington post. We assumed smell would dissipate over time but almost 2 years later it never has. Cushions make a weird crinkly crunching sound one associates less with cushioning and more with straw. No surprise then that sitting on is about the same. It was advertised as downy and soft. It is not. Don't be duped!

“Very bad quality!”

We bought a sofa not event two years ago! But shortly after purchase it completely lost it shape and now it looks terrible. It was corner sofa . Very sad to chose them !

“Disgusting customer service”

Ordered a bed which was delivered with faults twice. Called to complain and was provided with appalling customer service. Have now ended up with no bed and no compensation! Have never been spoken to so badly and I am shocked when spending £800 on a bed this can happen.

One of the characteristics of our light-weight linens is that this fabric is subject to slubs and slight weave imperfections. These are considered an inherent fabric feature, rather than a flaw. We appreciate that you are unhappy with your bed and would be more than happy to exchange this for you. However, we felt it only prudent to highlight that a replacement bed in this same fabric will likely have these same slight irregularities.

As a goodwill gesture, we are happy to discuss some compensation should you wish to keep your current bed with this minor fabric slub. We are also happy to exchange this bed for another in a different fabric entirely. If you wish to return this bed then we will contact you once the bed has been returned to our warehouse and process a full refund.

We would like to apologise sincerely for any frustration or disappointment caused.

“Poor quality ”

Hi, Brought my sofa from sofa.com and it will shortly be gracing a charity furniture shop. It's not lasted four years and the key problem is that it quickly lost it shape and wore very badly. Supposed to be Scotch guarded but after a professional dry clean it has aged quickly with feathers flying everywhere. Loved the shopping experience and styling is spot on but they need to back it up with quality. My mum purchased one shortly after me on my recommendation and is also disposing of hers. Suitable for very light use.

“Great sofa but the worse arrogant customer service ever!”

I took measurements of my door and sofa. I was promised that the sofa will be dissembled and will go through the door. They were very inflexible about delivery times and the sofa was not dissembled. They dissembled on site and wouldn't go through the door, but easily through the window. They refused to help the builders on site to just lift it up, for insurance reasons. The arrogance and rudeness was shocking! I called the store and was told that is my problem and incredibly unhelpful about options. All they care about is getting your money, once that, you are at their mercy. Definitely would not recommend them.

“Worst Customer Service I have received.”

After enquiring with sofa.com about a new delivery time with a very irritated customer service person, I received the following email from their Deputy Sales Team Leader. I clearly should not have been cc’d on the email and will NOT be shopping at sofa.com again! Customer wanted to me to ask when the next available first slot of the day would be before confirming/cancelling this one. “Nice sofas but terrific delivery capabilities”

The sofas are very nice but the delivery service is terrific despite all the warnings and precautions taken to explain how the staircase was tiny! After having failed to deliver the sofa, Sofa.com left me alone with my problem consisting in finding a delivery company and organising myself the delivery... Very disappointing!

Have complained about sofa since arrival.We are now nearly a year later and my complaint has been passed from one person to another without any outcome.Has been assessed by sofa.com team who agreed it needed replacing but still waiting.Post service is pivotal to a successful company-this area of your company needs to be reassessed otherwise you will not survive in todays market.

“Awfull all round”

Absolutely terrible experience with this company. Went to their chichi showroon and selected a sofa that we were told arrived in three parts and would fit through any door. We were given a delivery date of six weeks and even an exact time and confirmation the day before. No sofa materialised and the person we contacted could only relay messages. After many phone calls it transpired that the sofa was still in eastern Europe where they actually make them. There was no attempt made by sofa.com to contact us despite having days in which to cancel. When the sofa finally did arrive it was fully assembled and would not fit through the door. Also still waiting for an apology from them.......
