I really like TK Maxx, especially for the jewellery & homeware. Although the stores can be a bit messy sometimes, I always leave feeling satisfied with the products I buy. There's a large selection of clothing & an ideal place to buy someone a gift. However I wouldn't recommended going there for something in particular because it might be very hard to find.

I've bought some good clothes from then and the staff are always friendly. Their availability and choice of stock is extremely random so you can't always rely on them having a product but overall they are ok.

I have to say, I'm quite surprised by a number of the negative reviews on here for TK Maxx as I've generally always had a pretty good experience when shopping there, whether online (quick & easy process & had no problems with delivery), or in-store. I buy quite a bit here (clothing/footwear and home-wares) and have found the products/quality to be fine. Some have been 'brand names' I've been familiar with, others not. One time, when I bought an armchair there, they even had one of their guys help me carry it out to my car, which I was quite impressed with, as I'd never have managed it alone! It's also much better now they have extended the 'return period' back to 28 days instead of 14, as that was really my only gripe with them! All-in-all I'm happy with the goods I've bought there and the service(s) I've received from the staff in my local store, so no complaints really (& yes, I've returned items there many times and have never had an issue. But then, I DO make sure to keep all my receipts & have never attempted to return a 'faulty' item after the return period has run out, so who knows, perhaps I'm jumping the gun!).

I love TK Maxx and do a lot of shopping there. I travel quite a bit and I have had lovely comments from strangers about items that I've bought from TK Maxx. I'm plus size and other high street shops don't seem to cater for the larger woman who wants to look chic.
If I have a complaint it's about the way in which the clothes are squashed onto the rails. Shopping requires stamina and determination but it's usually worth the effort.
I've never had a problem with returns or rude staff.
I also have found great bargains in the homewares division.

I love T.K.Maxx, People don't seem to understand T.K. Its off-price retail but retail non-the-less. It's not a car-boot sale, Not a charity shop or any kind of latter between the 2 or other wise so stop haggling as ive often seen customers haggling with staff over price. Returns: It's 14 days like it or not, if it were 30 days or more like "expected" people would get the wear out of the item and return it which may be part of the reason it's 14 days. Bras ARE returnable but underwear ISN'T, HYGIENE! as is stated in the policy on the back of the reciept. Some of the stores can be messy, agreed, but who creates the mess? Customers, and it infuriates me to see them take a garment off a hanger and just throw it over the rail, have these people fully "evolved" yet?. I have purchased the majority of my wardrobe from T.K and some examples of good deals of had: 2 Pairs of FCUK jeans- £25 total which should be well over £100, Numerous pairs of trainers that shold cost at least £40 each purchased between £10 + £25, CARS jeans that should cost around £60, Purchased for £17.
Can't argue but people still do. Basically I love the store and I refuse to pay a stupidly high amount for a bit cloth and that's why I get good deals at T.K.
Branded products at over half the price yet people still kick up a fuss. If you don't like anything about the companies layout, procedures, rules or policies alike your welcome to go somewhere else and pay full price!

T.K.Maxx is off-price retail and the stock they recieve from suppliers could be either past season (the majority of brits seem to be too fashion concerned to be seen wearing something that was "in fashion" a month ago but is now obsolete),"imperfect" stock (a stitch slightly off is no good for full price retail apparently) or otherwise other reasons but the majority of stock is perfect. People may not have heard of most of the brands but none-the-less they exist in other stores somewhere. People moan about the return policy, it is clearly stated on the back of the receipts.

Only just discovered TK Maxx and I'm glad I did. Got myself a new suit, shoes and a pair of trainers for under £100 and it all seems good quality. There was a long wait to pay as they seemed understaffed and it took a long time finding the right items, but well worth investing the time as you will be rewarded!

TK Maxx is a fab shop, though you do have to take time to look around. I bought a pair of French Connection boots from there nearly 4 years ago, and they have been worn to the death. They have finally given up now, but they have been brilliant boots. The best thing is the tag stated £250.00, but TK Maxx only charged £50.00. Absolute bargain!

Oh I love TK Maxx, I have found some great bargains here. I admit it can take some courage to rummage through everything they have but one good find can make it all worthwile. I found the most anazing LBD there and at £20 I couldn't believe my luck. Definitely my favourite shop ever!

A year or so ago I purchased a pair of Reebok trainers and pink stilettos from TK Maxx. What can I say? Both had risen above all my expectations! They both look as good as new, and after a year of being constantly worn, that's pretty impressive!! They are comfortable and long lasting, and as an extra bonus they look terrific.
A worthy buy, and I would recommend TK Maxx shoes to adults and children alike!!!

I recently bought a pair of possibly the most comfortable and well made 'trainers' I have ever had. They were Gravis and in TK Maxx were only £17 versus the normal price of around £45. I know that the price reflected that these shoes were a discontinued line from Gravis but as long as one is not a complete fashion victim, who cares! They are wonderful almost like walking around in carpet slippers all the time.

TK Maxx is a great shop, but the major downside is that there is often only 1 or 2 of everything, so if you need a large and you can only see a small, then you might be hard pressed to find your size.
Also, sometimes things get bashed around in homewares, so candles, plates, glasses, etc., can be chipped. but you're paying real knock pff prices, so you gotta expect it.

TK Maxx is the place to go if you're looking for something a bit different, they have loads of brands and designs that you wouldn't find elsewhere. They also have a good selection of house/kitchen accessories and loads of gift ideas. The only drawback is that you have to rumage through everything so make sure you have loads of time to spare! Fitting rooms are also spacious with lots of mirrors.

I have emailed twice to TKMaxx after being informed by one of their assistants that TK's will no longer be stocking anything above a size 20. The plus sizes they do have will be amongst all the other clothing, rather than separated out as well, making it hard to spot where they are. On their website they advertise their wonderful plus size tops - they say they " love curves" and lo and behold there are two tops available up to size 18. I have always bought my clothes from TKMaxx as it is hard to find anything a bit unusual and stylish in the high street shops. But clearly TKMAxx doesn't love curves as much as they make out. Given the number of miniscule sizes they have left on their clearance rails they shuld by now realise there is a massive market for plus size clothing. I've never received a reply from the store - so they clearly don't have much interest in what their customers think either.
