Home-tek HT824

I bought a hometek steam mop for myself and my sister xmas 200. I really loved it but now it has stopped steaming. I'M SO UPSET because I liked it and it wasn't cheap. I had some work done in my house and when I took out the mop to clean it stopped steaming. There should be an after sales service especially as I've just read other reviews saying that their's stopped working after a few months too. I hope the manufacturers read these reviews and take some action. I will never purchase their products again.

Have only used it 6 times it broke had it repaired used it twice packed and its packed up. I think yhey are rubbish. Shall never by any Home Tek products again.Its one name to avoid.

having brought my home-tek steam mop HT824 i enjoyed 3 months of absolute bliss - they are a dream to use and take the pain out of keeping your laminate clean with 2 german shepherds running in and out of the garden

sadly it then broke and due to closure of business i was unable to get a replacement from the retailer- so i dived in and brought a new one- direct from the home-tek website this time the steam mop elite- silver/blue-sadly this has lasted a mere 7 weeks and suprise broke exactly the same as the first one- home-tek has no dedicated customer services team- just sales and accounts departments (both of which have 0845 numbers!)so you are pretty much on your own if things go wrong- i am now looking into a very similar product made by JML- who it appears not only has a customer services department but proudly prints thier freephone number on the packaging of every product they sell- hopefully this is a sign that not only are they proud to be making the item but are willing to talk to those who are either not happy with their purchase or simply need advice on its usage

When I bought my Hometek cleaner in Feb 2009 I was very impressed with the way it cleaned and how easy it was to use. I don't think it is a very robust machine but it certainly cleaned well enough. However within a few weeks it stopped working, I returned it to the shop where they replaced it.This worked for another few weeks when the same thing happened again and had to be replaced. Alas my Home tek has now stopped working again which makes that three in 6 months. I have used it as per instructions and not excessivly - only once per week. I will be very sad to loose this but as it is not reliable I am hoping to get a refund this time.

the Home-tek HT824 is a really great appliance for steam cleaning . have enjoyed using it with very good results - BUT wait for it! It has suddenly stopped working! the pump starts on operation - the outside cover feels warm but alas no steam arrives!! we do not know what is wrong with it. Bought it from supplier via daily mail advert so now do not know what to do... Who knows - maybe it is blocked... Am not sure what to do about support???

I own a Home-tek HT824 & it is great,you pop on a microfibre pad wash you floor & put the pad in the washing mashine is also great for steaming carpets & beds.& to fill it up put cold water in a hole at the top & you just screw on the cap,you will never have to use a mop & bucket again. Great product if you don't own one go & buy one,because i would'nt be without mine. Only bad point don't tip it upside down or the water will pure out.

The Home-tek HT824 gives your clean floors without too much effort. You use tap water so save on expensive chemical cleaners.
