I have a 1986 190D 2.5, diamond blue. It turned 27 in July 2013. We ordered it throught the Canadian PX in Furth, Germany, in July 1985 and had to pay for it in advance. 55,500DM, or about $26,000 US. Not cheap back then, but it has been a wonderful car. i still average 32-34 mpg today (30 City/42 Hwy). It is the best car I have ever owned. The original paint still looks new. I get compliments on it all the time, and I think the styling is timeless. It rides extremely well, is very quiet and handles like a sports car. I turned 58 this year, and I think the car will probably be going strong when I expire. In the meantime, I will enjoy driving it.

I have a 190D, Black, 1993make(probably the last versions). I Love my car. I have some more vehicles, but this is my dearest one. I faced a problem when I repaint it. The new paint(ppg, black, 040 code) truned bubbles in the bonnet. Then I repaint it. But really I Love it.

I love my 190d. I have owned it for almost 5 years. It is a sharp sporty looking car, and it is very pleasurale to drive. It gets great gas mileage,
and for the most part is very dependable.

I have a Mercedes 190d 1988 2.0 fantastic car I really would rate it iam only 19 but I know a good car when I drive one and this is built to last and well if you look after the filters and oil it will go forever ten out of ten.

If you are lucky to see a 190D 2.5 auto for sale buy it as it appears they are quite rare now and zero depreciation too boot.

This is a great car. It has been expensive to keep running mostly because I've had the dealer maintain it. On cold New England mornings it snaps to life. With new engine mounts it has new car smoothness at idle and on the highway. After nearly 20 years the design remains fresh and attractive. I plan to keep this car.

I have had the Mercedes 190D 2.0 9 years, its done 230,000 miles and the engine has only ever had the oil and filter changed! I fitted new rears radius arms (£145 for 8 of them from eurocarparts). The drive shaft rubber bushes are worn out so I will replace them some time. I replaced the centre bush last year, and I put a new exhaust on for the first time since I bought it! I also fitted new discs and pads and rear handbrake shoes.
I am still using the same battery it came with! I go up and down to Aberdeen veery weekend so it is never off the road and is out every day locally. Lord alone knows how the battery has lasted that long - I expect it to give out every winter but it keeps on kicking.

Hi,
I just bought the same car of 1993 vintage, but unfortunately the radiator has a crack. I will have to replace the same.
Would you be kind enough to help me locate a replacement. I would be grateful for any help from your end.
Many thanks
Warm regards
