I have had this shredder for two years now, and I think it is one of the best on the market.
The two previous models were disc shredders which are cheaper but useless.
This machine uses a spiral cutting machanism which deals with most shredding with ease and aplomb.
I was surprised to read reports of dismantling the machine, and it makes me wonder if the reviewer was talking about the same machine, as dismantling is an almost houly occurrence on disc shredders.
To sum up, if you need a shredder, you will struggle to find a better shredder on the market than the Bosch AXT 2000HP.

Up to now I've been a bonfire man, but with the need to preserve the atmosphere I decided to start shredding. After a lot of heavy pruning in the garden this year, I have shredded about ten wheelbarrows full of good quality garden mulch. My Bosch AXT 2000HP 200w Electric garden shredder has jammed a couple of times, but this was my fault. I'm very pleased with it, but the slugs are not, as it's difficult to slide over the mulch.

I bought the Bosch AXT 2000 HP 2000W shredder to cut down some of my seriously overgrown bushes so that we can replace the fence. Up till now I thought the electric hedge cutter was pretty good if not old and heavy. You could cut the bits up fairly small on the ground. Wrong! This shredder is awesome! I chose it from the reviews on this site, and bought it from Tooled-up.com. I have filled 7 garden waste sacks already. I had a garden waste sheet with handles; a few bricks hold it in place when it is windy - I see you can buy a bag/cover for it as well. You can put the special tool through the machines handle and coil the lead over it. - It's the best bit of garden kit I've got! I like it, it's doing what I need it to do. Even my wife commented how quiet it was.

I bought the Bosch AXT2000HP 220w electric garden shredder after reading other people's reviews, and I wasn't disappointed, in fact I was pretty impressed. It took me 2 hours to do what would normally be a 3 day job, and I had problems stopping! Beware! You may well find yourself with nothing left in your garden! I found that you could put soft green stuff in as long as you do it with some twiggy/branch stuff, but anyway even if it jams up it's really easy to unblock, and it's easy to wheel in and out.
Great machine. By the way, at the moment it's £179.99 in B&Q (not the £199.99 that they are advertising it at - when you get to the check out it's £20 cheaper).

Bosch AXT2000HP 200w Electric - I have previously used a Power Devil impact shredder but was extremely unimpressed. It was hard work feeding it, it constantly jammed and in the end blew up. I was going to give up on DIY shredders until I saw the good reviews for this one. I bit the bullet, splashed out £175 and never looked back. It handles branches up to 3.5cm thick effortlessly, pulling them in quickly and spitting out 1.5cm chunks the other end. If you alternate between woody material and leafy material it never jams or clogs. It does tend to whip the branches around a bit as it pulls them in so stand well back and wear gloves and goggles (especially when dealing with brambles or rose cuttings). In this case it certainly worth while paying the extra.
