Not much you can write about a USB drive but I was disappointed with the Kingston Datatraveler 1GB USB flash drive.
The reason was the copying speed. For comparison I have another identical flash drive (Kingston Datatraveler) except that the capacity is 128 MB. Copying data to this older drive was more than 100 times faster than to the 1GB model. I tried formatting the 1GB drive with both FAT and FAT32 but with similar results. I even tried in more than one PC but again with similar results.
I may have received a substandard item. Kingston Tech Support did at least reply to me but referred me to the retailer. The retailer claims that the drive is fine.
Advice: see if you get a number of second hand flash drives for comparison before you buy; USB flash memory should be faster than a floppy disk - at least as far as I am aware.
