Panasonic NNA883W

I purchased one of these microwaves and after a while the door dropped as if it was too heavy for the hinges. Because of this the sensor option on the oven didn't work. As I was happy with the other features of this oven, and it was a few years old, I scrapped it and bought another. Low and behold after a while exactly the same thing has happened. I contacted Panasonic and was told that although this was not the first time they had heard of this fault not enough complaints had been received to act on this problem and therefore there, as it was out of warrenty, there was nothing they could do. I shan't be buying another and I would not recommend anyone else does either!!

It works ok, although it would be better if the door could be left open to air the oven without the interior light being on all the time.

Main fault is that the convection oven has stopped working, and we have discovered that the stand-by power is very wasteful.

It was not cheap and we are unlikely to buy another from Panasonic, a pity because their Genius microwave of 1980 was a truly wonderful machine, still going!

Before purchase we wanted to know the standby power.
