I stayed in costa teguise which was ok but I spent my nights eating at a superb Indian Resturant called Tandoori Spice in Santa Rosa which is 2 mins out of Costa. This is superb Indian cuisine at its best and the food is 1st class. The owners Dave and Del made us feel very welcome and the chef's cooking is 2nd to none. If you want good food? You must try here!

The Costa Teguise, Santa Rosa has lovely pleasant surroundings, high standards of cleanliness both in rooms and pool/garden areas. Buffet dinners had good choices. Food at pool bar great and prices ok. Facilities in place for the disabled guests. Food in dining room not very hot. Beds were more suitable for children rather than adults, more like camp beds. We enjoyed our weeks stay, very quiet relaxing holiday with staff being very pleasant. Would recommend a stay here.

We stayed in April 2008 for 1 week, it was empty around the pool but it was very windy for the first few days with no shelter to be able to sit out. The hotel was full of Spanish pensioners some of whom were not very friendly with us especially at meal times which put us off going into the restaurant a bit like a cattle market you had to be quick. Nothing was said about this when we booked. My wife and myself are 48 and 50 we went at easter we recommend to check with the travel agents or hotel before you book otherwise it was an enjoyable stay. Just outside the hotel their was a fantastic little Spanish restaurant well worth a visit and great value for money.

“I booked the Santa Rosa apartments in Costa Teguise...”

★★★★★

written by cojoba on 21/10/2007

I booked the Santa Rosa apartments in Costa Teguise through www.travelrepublic.co.uk only 3 days before my holiday (11th-18th October) and was delighted with the accommodation, particularly for the cheap price I had paid.
I must say I was very impressed with the Santa Rosa complex and would definately stay there again and recommend it to others.
They are situated a 15 minute walk to central Costa Teguise, however you can walk on the main road, a cut through a residential area or along the sea front.
I had a one bedroom apartment which I found to be clean, although basic. I would recommend you take more coat hangers with you and also a kettle as one is not provided. Although you can hire, kettles, toasters and fans at reception area. There is not fans or airconditioning, so I would imagine it would be extremely hot in the high season.
There was a television that had 4 English channels, a fridge, microwave, hob and all kitchen utensils.
I was on a self catering basis so cannot comment on food. There are many restaurants and places to eat/drink a couple of minutes away, so I would recommend you do that instead.
The pool was large and not too deep, which is great, if like me, you cannot swim out of your depth. There is also a small pool for children.
The entertainment was a disappointment. They did advertise bingo, dancing, karaoke, although the numbers were few and far between. I spent my evenings at the 4* hotel opposite (corona playas). This was excellent and again would recommend this for those of you whom prefer hotels.
the weather was very hot whilst there 27-28 degrees. There is a slight wind, but you definitely don't need to pack jumpers or anything like that.
I had booked this last minute and not expected much at all. I was very pleasantly surprised both with Costa Teguise and the Santa Rosa Apartments.
Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information.
