“ Highly recommend to friends”

★★★★★

written by Elianav256 on 19/09/2015

My Esme Jenny Packham dress really did make the day perfect! The experience of wedding dress shopping was in my opinion the best bit about all of the planning, so I really appreciate the excellent customer service that I received from start to finish. I had so many compliments about the dress and I really felt like a million dollars on the day...and my dad cried his eyes out when he saw me!! Thank you for everything, will highly recommend to friends

“STAY AWAY!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Springwell3 on 02/11/2014

Stay away from this shop. - staff rude - staff have little product knowledge - steamstress work is very poor - not a enjoyable experience DO NOT buy your dress from here, they just want your money without giving a service. They do not deserve to stock these designer gowns... Take note of the designer and buy elsewhere.

“Poor service”

★★☆☆☆

written by ArmaniWard278 on 23/08/2014

Visited this shop in search if a wedding dress thinking it would be a lovely experience. From walking in there was a clip board pushed at me, no greeting or sense of a happy atmosphere. It was a cold experience, being handed tags to place on hangers of dresses I may be interested in. Then being helped into gowns by two girls who seemed rather disengaged and not particularly interested. No one seemed to actually consider that it's meant to be a happy experience. Also, apparently you can't take photos ''because of the designers" but in other shops with the same and similar designers you can... I was in and out in around 20 minutes as it really wasn't somewhere I would want to stay for any longer and wouldn't entertain the idea of getting a gown from there. Unfortunately it was a poor experience but fortunately I found a boutique who do seem to care and really do want to help.

“poor quality ”

Dress broke on wedding day. Called to complain to be told it wasn't their problem. No apology. £2000 dress and straps held on with safety pins.

“Lovely little shop ! ”

I recently got married in my amazing dress purchased from Amy Louise in Nantwich and I can honestly say I had a fantastic experience ! Upon my first visit, I was greeted by smart, friendly staff who instantly made me and my mum very welcome. The range of dresses stocked are fabulous and I was absolutely spoilt for choice. I was there for quite a while yet it only felt like 10 minutes. It's quite a daunting thought, trying on wedding dresses in front of people you don't know, but at no point did the girls make me feel uncomfortable and seemed genuinely interested and determined to help me find my perfect dress ! As I'm sure most people do, I still shopped around as I didn't want to just buy a dress from the first shop I visited, but nowhere else compared. So back to Amy Louise it was where I put my deposit down on my dream dress. At this point I was also made aware that alterations to the dress come at an extra cost so I knew to budget for that too (this was appreciated as there is nothing worse than hidden costs) Before I knew it I received a call informing me my dress was in store and ready to be fitted to me. Again, even my fittings were quite a pleasant experience and at no point did I have any doubts my dress wasn't going to be perfect for my big day. When it was all finally done I felt really quite sad that I would no longer be visiting the shop. Each to their own but I find it hard to believe that some of the below comments are even related to the same place. All in all The service I myself, received at Amy Louise bridal gowns was second to none !!!!!!

“Very poor service”

written by on 14/04/2013

I visited Amy Louise Bridal shop back in 2011 when it was owned by a mother and daughter team. Their staff were amazing and I loved the whole experience. I then paid a huge deposit on a dress only to find in the new year that it had been taken over by a lady. I've got to say she had very little people skills and this prevailed as my wedding approached. Months before the wedding I was hit with huge costs which I was told were included in the original price. The cost was over £600 plus the cost of my dress. She blamed the family who previously had the business. The biggest complaint I have was the seamstress could only get my dress ready 4 days before the big day, the night before the wedding I tried it on so my mum could have a trial run only to find my sleeves/straps were in the wrong place and did not sit correctly! I'd paid £200 for these! Luckily my mum is really good and fixed the problem. Instead of having a nice relaxing evening my poor mum was up late sewing. As I disappeared on honeymoon my mum returned an underskirt and let them know about the problem..... She was met by a blank, disinterested lady who offered no sort of apology. I'm hoping I'm only getting married once so I won't be returning but I would like to offer guidance to future brides.

“A very underwhelming experience. ”

written by on 10/04/2013

I went to Amy Louise because of recommedations from friends, but these were obviously before the shop had changed hands. I went because of the designers they carry, but the staff and the shop were no longer of a standard I would expect from a luxury brand. I was met with what can only be described as a scruffy and indifferent young girl. I seemed to a inconvievience and the whole experience was a disappointment, the shop is obviously trading on its past reputation, to say the least. If i am willing to pay designer prices, I am willing to travel to a decent shop, even if this means another county. Very Sad.

We found the staff to be unhelpful and unfriendly. Altogether a bad experience buying wedding dress from this shop. I would not recommend them to anyone.

“Personalised attention to detail”

★★★★★

written by MaritaMac on 11/09/2011

I couldn't have picked a better bridal boutique to buy my wedding gown. The ladies at Amy Louise Bridal are not only warm and friendly, they are experts in what 'works' for a wedding gown, in terms of your preferred style, wedding venue, body shape, skin tone and personality. The experience of trying on gowns at Amy Louise makes you feel like a princess - the interior decor of creams and golds is so luxurious and the well lit, large mirrors really help you to decide what gown looks best on you. Apart from helping me pick the most stunning Ian Stuart gown (in the world!) they often rang me on my mobile with updates about the fittings etc and just to see how I was doing - I really appreciated that personalised attention to detail. My only regret is that I can't find another opportunity to wear my gown again!!!

“Amy Louise Fantastic service and beautiful shop”

★★★★★

written by pixee999 on 11/07/2011

I am not from Nantwich and had traveled from Manchester to try dresses on in Amy Louise as I was recommended by a friend. I am so glad that I made the journey as Ruth the lady I dealt with was amazing. From the minute we arrived both my bridesmaids and myself felt comfortable and at ease. She allowed me to select some dresses to try and based on what I thought of them she would then also make some suggestions. She helped me decide on what styles really worked of me, and gave me all the time I needed to decide. I managed to narrow my choice down to 2 dresses, and I have to say I did manage to find a stockist closer to home. However I decided that the service was so good at Amy Louise that it was worth the journey, and that I would rather give them my money and feel comfortable that they would look after me.

“I would just like to add my thoughts on this wedding...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 12/02/2011

I would just like to add my thoughts on this wedding dress shop. I live locally and regularly pass the shop. I am currently planning my forthcoming wedding and have been into the shop on several occasions to look at dresses. I have found the staff to be very snooty and actually quite rude. I am a professional, well dressed etc and still get the 'look you up and down' treatment. It is quite a fuss to actually try on any of the dresses. When I was there the sales assistant asked us within the first 5 minutes what our price range was, I find this quite distasteful.

Yes the dresses are lovely, but I would look for the same designers in an alternative wedding shop despite the fact that I would have to travel as I do not feel the staff deserve the business. They have lost a valuable customer as a result of their attitude.

I got married in June 2009 and I can honestly say this shop is a MUST visit for all brides. Amy Louise Bridal shop was beautiful, there was an excellent selection, and the staff were so friendly and helpful without being pushy. You really felt that they wanted to help you choose the perfect dress, in the end my decision was out of two dresses in the shop, one was £700 cheaper than the other but instead of the staff trying to push and sell me the expensive one, they all agreed that it was the cheaper one that best suited my figure and looked the nicest and most flattering on me. It is this kind of help that you need, my dress was perfect and I can not recommend Amy Louise enough, thanks girls!!!

I was married in May 2009 and had a wonderful day. Part of my memorable experience was visiting Amy Louise bridal gowns of Nantwich. From my very first visit I found them incredibly helpful and friendly. The selection of gowns was excellent and after trying on a number of shapes and styles I found my dream dress.
I cannot stress enough the quality of care from them as they could not do enough for me. Also, after my first fitting my gown looked amazing and I was over the moon. I can happily recommend this store to any bride to be as I am sure that you will not be dissapointed.

“Women were rude, unhelpful, snooty (seemingly without...”

Women were rude, unhelpful, snooty (seemingly without reason) at Amy Louise Bridal. Admittedly it seems that I got my appointment time wrong, however, I had gone to the effort to call and confirm the appointment time on the day, and was told 'see you then', hence I had assumed everything was ok, only to be greeted by a lady who was really quite rude and arrogant and told me that I had missed my appointment and that all of the staff had plans and were going out that evening and therefore they would not be able to accommodate me, even for the 30 minutes before they actually closed and even though I work away in London in the week and had driven down from Hale that day.

I was clearly upset by how unaccommodating they were being, and my upset turned to frustration when I was told by the member of staff in question that the fault was in fact was my own, which I am willing to accept in the first instance, but when I pointed out, that the lady who answered the phone to me when I called to confirm should really have picked up on the fact that I had got the time wrong, I was told that I was incorrect and was basically accused of lying! Why would I lie, I had the wrong time in my Blackberry appointment, which I had read out to the lady when I made the call! Very disappointing. Really poor customer service. All I can say, is that Amy Louise must be making an awful lot of money out of all of their customers, if they can turn potential new customers away like they did me in the current economic climate!

I totally disagree with your views and from what you've written it seems like there was a breakdown in communication between you both.

I have had nothing but a great, top quality service from all of the staff at Amy Louise. I think you have missed out in not giving them a second chance and being a little more reasonable and understanding.

I would totally recommend Amy Louise having visited and researched other Bridal boutiques in the area.

Amy Louise Bridal in Nantwich is a lovely open, airy and well lit shop, where the assistants help you select dresses without any fuss or haste. The assistants give you space to make up your own mind, but they were also really helpful in their suggestions of other dresses to try, and how the dress could be altered to suit my requirements.

All in all I had a lovely experience in Amy Louise, and I would love to get my dress from them, as I feel the service would be fantastic!
