Joy Swift's Original Murder Mystery Weekends

I have real difficulty writing this as the theme the games the actors are superb. Unfortunately the hotels they are held in are so appoling the ruin all the good work done by joys people.

We have a liteny of dirty matresses small rooms, no hot water,bad food and rip off bar prices that we will no longer go, and we have been to dozens of these.

Just returned for a super weekend at the Beaumont House Hotel Windsor, What a cracking weekend, All the actor were very realistic in carrying out the dirty deeds, first class acting and the whole weekend was filled with super sleuthing and fun and games. The plot and clues were second to none, and all the actors took their roles very seriously not giving anything away no matter how much we asked for help.

Saturday night party and fancy dress was so much fun and the 75 guest all took part a really lovely group of people. I shall most definately be returning for another Murder Weekend and well worth every penny spent. Carry on the good work and full credit to the actors and actresses

Two old friends and myself have been enjoying these Joy Swift Murder Mystery weekends for the past ten years, on and off. I think we have been on 6 in those years and each one has been fantastic. From the moment you start at 8pm on the Friday there is activity all through until the Sunday when the 'police inspector' sums up and reveals the murderer. The plots are sometimes quite complex and although the murderer may be easy to work out, you also have to give their motives. It is such a scream and we laugh from start to finish. The hotels are always first rate and the food and refreshments second to none - alas you need to go on a diet when you get home. p.s. Joy herself always takes part and makes a fantastic baddie/lesbian/homophobic/murderer ~ whichever she chooses to be !!!

Joy Swift Original Murder Mystery Weekend.

This was a Christmas pressie from my husband of 22 years and he had come to the end of the "gift list" as such!! Knowing that I am a HUGE Agatha Christie fan, he got me a murder mystery weekend and put the literature into some murder books on Christmas morning!

We came back yesterday and what an absolutely fabulous time!! Haven't been so entertained over a weekend since I don't know when. I laughed so much at times I thought I would scream. On the other hand, the gasps when the bodies where discovered were something to behold!!

You would sit down for a meal and then all hell would break loose with cast members having a go at each other and really throwing themselves into it - really fab.

I can't wait to go again, and ever since coming home I have been wishing I was still in the fantasy world of these characters.

Even though I was not successful in getting the murderer, this did not in any way detract from the overall experience - it was quite simply magnificent.

Joy Swift's Original Murder Mystery Weekends - From 8pm on friday there is never a dull moment, its full of laughs, the actors are amazing, they are in character the whole time. You are eating breakfast and suddenly a huge argument starts. you get involved from the beginning. Just get away from reality for a whole weekend and just enjoy yourself. I would recommend it to anyone. This will be my 11th year and i cant wait. I just hope i can continue for another 11 years. Her plots are clever and to solve them you have to really work, but thats the fun of the weekend. Joy dont ever stop!

I can not recommend Joy Swifts Original Murder Weekend enough. I have been on several other murder nights and weekends but they were not a patch on this professional company. I'm hooked.

The weekend end started on Friday night with a themed drinks reception, followed by dinner. The murders were very realistic and a bit gruesome. Saturday was spent interviewing the 'actors', relaxing in the hotel spa, playing games and studying the unfolding evidence in the 'Police Incident' Room. After the fancy dress dinner on Saturday evening there was a disco and several more deaths.

Saturday night went on very late as we were determined to solve the case.

Sunday morning after breakfast all was revealed by the detective heading up the investigation.

We got the murder right but didn't manage to get the much coveted trophy . . . definitely next time.

This cruise was our first introduction to Joy Swift's Murder Mystery plots. We were a little apprehensive at first but soon got into the swing of things and there was never a dull moment in the whole of the week. The 'actors' in the plots deserve a very special mention. Not only did they play their parts superbly but they also made sure we all had a good time. The 'Death on the Nile' trip lasted one week and included two murder plots. These plots were not too intense and gave guests plenty of time for sightseeing. The sightseeing was conducted by two of the most informed and friendly guides that I have ever experienced. They brought the history of the area from Luxor to Aswan to life so much so that you felt you knew each of the pharaohs and the gods personally.

The crew of the Viking III cruise ship were absolutely exemplary and could not do enough for the guests. We had fabulous towel creations in our cabins each evening, excellent food, superb service in the dining room and bar. There was also a well-stocked and very reasonably priced shop.

The street and market traders are intrusive. However, the advice given by the tour guides to blank them was very effective. It did mean that we probably bought less than we normally would have done as it wasn't possible to browse freely in the market stalls.
