Brought my new modena not even a year ago after having brought a kisbee from here the year before which had no problems with it until I came off and insurance scrapped it the person I dealt with said if I'd brought it in they wouldve got new panels cost around 40 pounds but that's another story back to the modena which stopped working after a day due to ignition cable wasn't connected to spark plug easy fix not the big problem. It broke down before 500 miles so they waved first service then due to work couldn't get bike in for 2 nd service till 2991 miles 491 over the log book recommended period to be charged 166.95 for oil change new plug 12:50 of sundries and a new l plate disgusting considering the years warranty and now it's stopped working again only been on it 10 times since service ajs themselves said to check plug was not wet which it isn't hence at the end of my tether with it as it just keeps breaking down at the stage where I will ask for money bk stay clear of the place go to blade Honda bit more money but lot better bikes

I bought a moped last summer and it broke down on the way home and has been a nightmare ever since. It kept breaking down and every time I took it in it was never fixed properly. My friends who are into motorcycles warned me to stay away from them, I should have listened to them.

They actually seem nice when you talk to them, but they will never actually do what they say or do anything to help. They just want your money.

I have taken my moped here to be serviced and have an mot....... what a joke they charge me over 400 pounds and with in a day of riding my moped the drive belt snapped. They seem to charge for money but do nothing for it. They are not very polite and there customer service is awful. If I could give a zero rating I would. please find a better dealership to buy your bike or have it serviced.

Poor service and lack of attention to work done on bikes is clear and makes them seem more like a mc-bike-shop, go in, buy a bike and you're on your own.

Even when a bike is still in warranty it was difficult to have them collect it for repair. Should you have a problem due to parts being "specialized" you will be unable to use the bike for up to a month which if you live a distance from your place of work cost you a job. I do not believe that the bikes are at fault but that so little attention is payed to ensuring they run when sold.

In summary avoid them at all costs.

Do not under any circumstances consider buying a bike from them however tempted you may be. Once they have your money they are not in the slightest bit interested in any issues you will have and from experience there will be many! Google reviews elsewhere and you will find lots of very I unhappy customers.

I don't usually write reviews but due to the strength of my feelings have decided to do so to hopefully save others from the misery I have experienced. Unfortunately a lot of the scooters Harper's supply are cheap models that are imported. This means that mine started disintegrating almost immediately and as no one else deals with these bikes you are forced to interact with the team there. They seem nice enough but have horrendous customer services. Awful communication, massive delays with no explanations and inspire no confidence. Bike kept breaking down and shoddy work done. Do not but a scooter from them, if it is cheap it is for a very good reason and you will regret buying it. Get a branded model instead, one you can take to another dealership for servicing rather than going back to Harpers. Wish it was better I really do.

Brought a peugeot kisbee for my son (had to buy helmet n jacket so I can "test" it)

really nice little bike took 10days to sort insurance etc a little lacking in progress report

During this time (with a stressing teenager) I couldn't find a better deal on the internet

For a well known brand. Collected without problems shown how all the controls etc work

with AJS being a chinese import, although based in hampshire, they're built abroad., its a bit inconvenient that you need to take the bike back to this dealer for repairs and service as most places wont touch them, but its a pleasure to ride it anywhere. service is okay from Harpers. although if you give them a few extra jobs to do while doing the service they'll probably get forgotten. the bike is beautiful and a nice ride, a real eye catcher. I am in love with it... I think however you cant beat japanese and i'll definately be buying a brand name for my upgrade. AJS is just unreconisable. most people think its a 50yr old restoration when i tell them what i ride. best things to say about it are very good looking, very good price. well worth the money.

Although I cannot fault them for any aspects with my moped. It ran perfectly, never faulted me and I had good communication with the store.

After I upgraded to the AJS models which they sell it went all down hill. They Do offer "Pretty" bikes but they are NOT reliable nor do harpers take any responsibility for the junk in which they sell. Their models loose value VERY quickly and you can only get a decent trade in price at harpers. I couldn't go else where due to my financial statue but I wish I had waited and just bought myself a reliable bike. for the two ajs models I had to spend out proberly more that I bought them for.

And harpers will take you for a long expensive ride. they will give you empty promises of services and warranties but if any parts need to be fixed on your bike they won't be covered for some reason or another. ALWAYS check they have given you your owners manual and mini tool kit because if you don't make sure you get them on the day of purchase, You will NEVER see them.

Warning do not buy this model the Motorhispania 125 is not as they discribe from day one you will have trouble the bike will not run properly and if lucky it will reach a maximum of 71mph down hill when fully run in. The chain and rear sprockets will need changing after 3 months with a cost of £150 for parts only not fitted and not covered by the 2yr warrenty!! The after care services is second to none more like none you will be promised 2 free services afull tank of petrol and an excellent after care service. This all changes when they get your money these false promises will vanish and on the second free service you will be charged inexcess off £200. If you like your brakes then dont get any bike serviced hear as mine were covered in oil back and front. The young mechanic said sorry i spilt some on the disks a bit to late when you have already left the shop and gone down the road lucky for me it was quite and i had the time to slow the bike down. Dont waste your money or time go else were
