I have to speak as I find. My bike was written - off. I was extremely sceptical about reading all these horror stories. But, to my surprise, although just a tad slow at assessing my bikes damage, my claim was settled at an amount that I was hoping for let alone expecting. They also paid it in extra quickly for me via BACS. One or two agents were a little out of touch with the info, but all in all, I cannot complain one bit. Full settlement paid in 10 days. For a very reasonable premium, I am very satisfied with the final outcome and timescale.

I would like to offer an objective review, after reading all these terrible ones I was deeply worried when made a claim in May 2015. I wrote my car off in a May driving into a bollard, no other parties. I will admit that to begin with the claim was slow to process and I had to chase several times to ensure each step was processed as quickly as possible. Every member of staff I spoke to was polite and courteous and did their best to help me, as stated I did have to make numerous calls to enquire that each step was fulfilled, car picked up, assessed, car report, access to courtesy car took 2 weeks. Overall they were slow to process things, but all in all I had a very good experience and I received a competitive offer for my car and received a cheque in under 7 days once they had received my documents (V5 etc) I feel I was handled and assessed fairly, staff were very polite and courteous and 2 in the claims processing team were particularly understanding. They are not all bad, I will renew with them next year.

After my Corrado VR6 Was stolen last month I went straight online and looked for reviews and found this site. My heart sank. What I can say now my claim in complete - I've had no issues and it was relativity pain free. Car was stolen 4th July. I received my check on the 7th August. Not bad! I put a claim in to Makerstudy immediately after my car disappeared. I was told I'd get another phone call in a few days. The next day I receive a phone call where the Markerstudy representative confirmed my details via the DVLA. I was told the claim will be passed to a contracting company called iValidte who will confirm my claim details and, well; validate it. A few days later I received a call from iValidate who wanted to set up a phone interview to make sure the claim details were correct. I set a date and time and they called on the dot. They asked for various documentation such as the V5, keys, history, photo's etc. In all honesty I delayed sending these for around a week so I slowed my claim down. Once the documents were sent iValidate contacted me and advised I had a claim manager who wanted an additional phone interview to go over my documents. The date and time was set and once again they called on the dot. The call was very similar to the previous calls I've had and they were just verifying my story and details. The claim manager advised she needs to confirm the claim details with the police and she would be in touch if she needed me otherwise the claim will be passed to Markerstudy and she wished me all the best. A week later I called Markerstudy who confirmed that my claim had been approved, the cheque is being processed and that I should wait for it. Job done. A week passed and I called Markerstudy again, they confirmed the cheque had been posted the day before, low and behold when I arrived home it was sat waiting for me. All in all, a relatively painless experience. My only gripes and the reason for four stars not five: - It felt as if they were trying to catch me out at times, looking for gaps in my story and details. I suppose they have to do this to avoid fraudulent claims so I can't complain - The less fraud happening, the cheaper the policies, right? - Markerstudy, although efficient were rubbish at communication, no calls and Two letters in total (one at the start, one at the end). I had to chase them. I can easily see how if things turned sour they would have frustrated me immensely. However iValidate were wonderful to work with and my claim manager was awesome to deal with (Markerstudy, take note - You could learn a thing or two). Overall I would highly recommend and definitely use Markerstudy again.

2013 has been a great year for our business as well. The help we have received from underwriting at all levels has been much improved, if not refreshing. The decision times have come down, meaning we can get on with our business instead of waiting for answers. Long may this continue.

I was involved in an accident back in August which I was not at fault, despite the other driver trying to claim I was in fact at fault and that he had obtained injuries as a result! When I contacted Markerstudy they advised me to prepare a statement and that they would process other details with the other driver's insurer. I received an update two days later that the other driver was now admitting fault and I could proceed with the repair. I opted for Markerstudy's recommended repairer and was provided with a temporary car whilst mine was in repair. I don't usually leave reviews but I was surprised by the low rating Markerstudy has received on this site - I guess the level of service may differ from time but I can only say that my experience with them was great.

I recently had to make a claim for my motorbike, so googled them to get the claims telepohone number. I instantly saw the review site come up, and thought that I was in for a nightmare experience. I rang the claims line number, and must admit that it took a little while to get through, however once I got through the claims team were really helpful. My claim was pretty simple, as I had clipped the kurb and come off, therefore It was my fault. The claim was dealt with really quickly and payment within a month or two. Although they have a bad reputation, there are many other insurance companies with similar issues, so I am happy to continue on with them.

Are you sure you got the right company? They have been nothing but trouble for anyone I know who has had the misfortune of dealing with them.
