Sometimes I taste salt in the water. Uses allot of salt.
Used to have a Kinetico which was over 20 years old. The Kinetico seemed to be soft all the time and The Tapworks doesn't. Someone told me its because single tanks don't give soft water all the time.
Had my old Kinetico serviced and had that re installed and its better than my 1 year old Tapworks.

So far, very happy with the performance of this Tapworks water softener. Used the AD11 to replace my 20 year old Permutit 8.32. It conveniently fitted into the existing cupboard space with room to spare. Although not mentioned in the brochure it comes with a standard fitting kit.

You are not supposed to drink the soft water. The idea of soft water is to protect showers, boilers, washing machines etc. from scaling up, as well as requiring less shampoo and the like to get a lather. When plumbing the softener in, a bypass should be made to separate your drinking supply. A good filter tap is recommended to remove contaminants from the drinking water supply.
